I will never not be salty about that. Possibly one of the most idiotic things done in the entire movie. Much of the movie didn't even need to happen if Zeus had just gotten off his ass and intervened. His "no interference" law was stupid anyway because he already WAS doing so. No Zeus, just because you took the guise of an old man to mentor Theseus with his whole life doesn't make it any less interfering, it is by your will you are guiding his growth. Killing Ares for defending the very mortal Zeus has been indirectly helping for years as it is? Stupid. Fuck Zeus. Ares was killed for nothing.

Apollo is considered as Zeus sometimes! Then one of his sons after whatever. There are a lot of terrible movies about mythology. This film is fun and action packed. I don't agree with all aspects, but it is a hidden gem. I believe the Zeus is Apollo in the film. It might not matter ,but Apollo is still the leader of the gods,

I got the feeling they wrapped a bunch of gods together.
For example when I watched the movie I actually thought Ares was Apollo based on his helm and his rebellion against Zeus. But I found out, it’s Ares. I also think they gave him a hammer as Hephaestus is Ares’s brother.

You're right, but this movie is hardcore nostalgia for me. I remember when I got my first apartment I had two movies, this one and a season of everyone loves Raymond. I remember watching this movie so many times and eating breakfast burritos from McDonald's. Hits so hard.

Well, there are many movies that are pure crap, but we love them for some associatiation. I come from Slovakia, Slovaks have a tradition of making movies for children like they were horrors. Many people from this country would tell you that slovak production for kids is creepy. I mean yes. But at the same time.. I enjoy it even as an adult. :D

I LOVE THIS film, I've seen it twice especially that scene where he is standing on the cage to bring down the mountain, I'm in love with Luke Evans, my mum met him and she didn't know who he was so I had to tell her, give me a like if you agree.

@luis vega yes and I wish that Universal can find a loop hole in Cruise's contract and be rid of that clown, because the reason why The Mummy didn't do too well is because Tom Cruise changed the script to beef up his lame ass role. The Mummy wasn't the first film that Cruise destroyed with his ego, according to actor R. lee Ermey it was Stanley Kubrick's last film Eyes Wide Shut and I believe what Ermey said about Cruise being a control freak and Ermey doesn't like Cruise as well.
