Hi, I am doing a Speeduino for one of this engines and while checking the timing is a most I want to get as close as possible when doing a first start. Speeduino uses ATDC instead of BTDC, what do you think a safe number to start would be? For BTDC I know something like 220 would work but what about ATDC? Thanks.
Hello Billy. No , stock ecu has 2 ignition output so no way of running even wasted spark of 4 sets of two coils. Im sure you will see a future video I have planned on this topic. Cheers Kelvin
Hello Kelvin ... I admire your work and knowledge in UZ engines in middle east we got the 2uz vvti engine 4.7L for lx470 so what variant should we focus on while you are working 1uz vvti or 3uz vvti ? Till know i couldn't figure out the most identical variant is it 1uz or 3uz
The early 2uz is close to the 1uz VVti however the 2uz didnt have VVti. Around 2003 the 2uz got VVti and are closest to the 3uz. I do have a 2uz wiring video coming from a landcruiser.
Sorry I'm not sure I understand. Are you referring to different coil on plug setups, like what coils to use? Or the stock spark plug lead with the rubber boot cut off and taped into the cop to connect the timing light?
Cool as. Its just a stock lead, I trim the rubber boot off and in it goes. I have boxes of stock leads so have plenty I can butcher. Hopefully this answers your question. Cheers Kelvin
It is possible to run COP with stock wheel providing you use a cam position sensor as well. Many of the others I do have the stock 12 tooth wheel in them. Cheers Kelvin
Good to know!
cool as. Cheers Kelvin
It just works!
Yes it does. It just works. Cheers Kelvin
Damn bro you are master..
Thanks.

I like the coil on plug conversion. I guess it can't be done with a stock ecu ?

Crank sensor wheel is very similar to the Spitronics version

Any chance of some details on the modified COP lead please?

@@CartuneNZ I was interested how you got the timing light to work with COP 👍

is it necessary to use the VVTI wheel when using the COP ? or can it be achieved with the original ?

is the vvti crank sensor a 60-2
Nope. 36-2 for vvti
Hello, Ecu Link G4?
This was a G4+ but the concept is all the same. Cheers Kelvin
3:18 best bit of the video 😂
I really dont like getting shocks. Cheers Kelvin
