Well am definitely impressed that the restaurant has paired the desert very exquisitely. The Gulab jamun and ice cream is a people's combination otherwise they are 2 separate deserts themselves. Same goes for Gajar halwa and ice cream. Again kudos to them for sharing that amazing combination. Carrot Halwa(pudding) generally has slight garnish of green grounded cardamom which gives it that fragrant aroma other than that you also have some pistachios and almond. Carrot halwa is an all time desert but in winters it widely sold through out major parts of India as its a fresh seasonal produce during winters and in India its red as the carrots are red in color compared to orange that are available in Canada/USA.
Happy to see you enjoying and introducing indian food .. and where do you get good collection of songs though.. keep it up the great work.. i must say do travel to India will show you around here and make you taste the original recepies of indian food and culture
I am frm India and wanna say that if ur enjoying the Indian flavors then thats what I am proud of and happy about and literally your reviews look genuine... loved your video . And wanna add that as your new to this cuisine and you definitely aren't aware of the paring of exact items so it's totally fine . Enjoying food and flavors that what matters🥰 .... love frm India ❤
I agree with Prasad's comments. Those dishes looked of very high quality and my mouth was watering over here. Hang on - let me get a towel to dry off my keyboard. Everything look amazing and good quantity and quality. The deserts were scrumptious looking. Glad you're enjoying Indian food.
Gajjar ka halwa(Carrot pudding) is a carrot-based sweet dessert pudding from the Indian subcontinent. It is made by placing grated carrots in a pot containing a specific amount of water, milk and sugar, cardamom, raisins, nuts and then cooking while stirring regularly. It works best with ice cream 🍨.
Some how the food in Canada is of very high quality. With so much of Punjabi presence, the food is of whole new level. I had been to several Indian restaurants , while on a visit to BC and the food was mind-blowing. Of course I can agree fully with your reaction, which wasn't a surprise..obviously for it good quality.. Surprised to know that you haven't tried the iconic Mango Lassi so far.. the Carrot Halwa as it is known, is made with Carrots and condensed milk. The mint chutney is typically eaten with the Kababs , or any snack..that too in moderation ..please never ever to take a scoop of chutney and taste..the chutneys are typically spice bombs and are to be eaten in extremely small quantities.. Loved the way you were enjoying the food ..and made it so interesting..very good video and audio quality..it was visually appealing..the light and shade was perfect..keep up the good work..soon you'll be a top Vlogger with such high energy and quality.. though I watched your previous videos, have become your newest subscriber after watching this vlog..Good Luck
Love ur enthusiasm and love for Indian food. you hv a lot to work on the knowledge of what to eat with what and the names though LOL. The green mint chtney is supposed to be eaten with tandoori chickens n prawns. And we dont hv salmon here. It's rare!
Start eating with tandoori prawn n chicken along with Mint n Tamarind chutney. Move onto Naan with curries, then Rice with curries. This should be the sequence for enjoying the food totally.
Well I just noticed this 2nd time and so thought to share as I do like your honest experiences. So first - always try out/finish starters(appetizers) whenever going with Indian food especially if its a tandoori item. Second stuffed nan(cheese, cottage cheese, veggies, etc) pair them with mint sauce as they are like appetizers. Any curry/gravy on 90% cases are meant to be experience with the breads(Nan,Roti,Paratha,Kulchas,Roomali, etc). Rice is best paired with lentils(dal tadka, butter dal, makhani, bukhara, etc) and to use up excess gravies and to alleviate taste. It is a custom in US and Canada where they serve rice in almost every meal like a side dish or complimentary but well that does not happen in India. We and I can vouch most Indians at home or restaurant opt for gravy/curries with breads. Kudos and look forward to more hearty vlogs
Finally a restaurant using authentic basmati rice.. Original basmati have aroma but not very lengthy.. Basmati rice and biriyani rice are different...thank God...this place is not giving biriyani rice ..
Your next destination should be a place which serves Indian snacks and fast food (Aloo Tikki, Masala Chat, Bhel Puri, Pav Bhaji etc.). OMG, having said that my mouth is watering now and I crave these foods myself :)-
A suggestion : Please do some research on the food you are about to eat and how to eat, name of certain food and how it's pronounced etc... Iam sure it will make the video much better.

Great Video! I think you should take your Indian eating to the next level, try to eat how we eat with hands and also Roti/naan with the curries, In this cuisine, there are some starter dishes that are to eaten just by itself and the curries and naan in a combination or curries and rice. Try it, You will love it. If you eat with hands you will experience Indian cuisine in a different way
There is no wrong way of eating food but just try to dip dry ingredients like tandoori Chicken/Shrimps etc with the sauces like mint chutney or just mix and match. The Naan and rice both are dry so it will go with any gravy based curry. Thats the normal thing we do in India. And all tandoori dishes like kebabs or tikka are all starters so you eat with hands, like finger food. After all its all personal preference. 😊
