Hope he can prove us all wrong. He really let himself go in that rematch with AJ. It wouldn't surprise me if he took a big bit of cash just to not train properly. It just never made sense why he worked all his life to be world champion, got there then pissed it all up the wall. Something to me just didn't seem right when he got on them scales at the weigh in.
Tbh I think when he is training hard he is probably top 3 heavyweight people sleeping on him he has potential. He is just sooooo different compared to the rest of the heavyweights.
It’s not like he got worked over in his 2 losses either. AJ used his reach and refused to engage him. I forgot the other guy he lost to but it was close
Andy Ruiz has the ability to move like a Mexican Mike Tyson if he continues on this path. I hope to see Ruiz keep the weight off and the muscle on. Great work Ruiz and everybody knows that you can get the belt back.
I actually called the first fight with Andy vs aj. Got laughed at for it too when I suggested it at work. I knew he was winning after seeing a training video of him firing off hooks and was absolutely dumbfounded by the speed of them. He would have probably slept anyone of the top boys that night. Wasn’t expecting aj on winning the rematch though. I don’t think Andy will return to the top though. His fighting style and lifestyle doesn’t suit late stage careers. I can already see he’s lost a bit of speed from before, despite him being a lot leaner than before.
@@DrunkinDonuts97 honestly people sleep on Ruiz boxing skill, he has one of the best boxing IQs and throws combinations like no other heavyweight at the moment. That speed of his is a massive problem for any heavyweight.

Andy looking dangerous... Wish he was in this shape for a second Joshua fight it would have been spectacular fight, not sure if he would won but it would have been a lot more interesting. I always liked Ruiz's feet, he kept them under him at all times keeping him ready to power punch, which Joshua found out. Very economical. I hope he hasn't thrown that baby out with the bathwater. But now ? Man, hes clearly worked a lot on his footwork. Moving like middleweight. Id only want to see that in spots from a man his size, a heavyweight moving like that will typically gas, like Klitschko did vs Joshua. Its good to see that he has it but he has to use it the right way n complement what he already had. Better head movement, & better footwork getting him into position to get that new n improved, extra spring in his step into his punches, explosively, Mike Tyson style & with the Mike Tyson levels of stamina to do it for 12 hard rounds, man, the leaner new n improving Ruiz has me excited. He also now has the option to circle out n use the the ring if he needs to clear his head instead of always & predictably trying to fight fire with fire like he did in Joshua 2. The ability to reset the range n dictate the terms of engagement n mitigate damage. High level stuff. Ruiz is working on some of the very best stuff possible lads, hes obviously had a long hard look at the man in the mirror, asked himself & now is answering the hardest possible questions. Damn Andy has so much potential. The way he moves and the speed of his punches is so lethal for a heavyweight. Most heavyweights today are robotic and that's why Fury is so successful. Fury has mastered the art of being mobile and awkward. Andy should really learn to create angles and move to make the most out of his fast hands.
Yo Andy Ruiz is about to do WORK!! he looks incredible. Its crazy that he won the championship when he was out of shape, now, he about to bully the heavyweight division
