I enjoyed this trek! Speaking from recent experience, running does injure the knees 😢 and yes, you will miss them when they are gone. I have to agree with you, doing to many big hikes can take away the fun of being out. I try to mix them up as much as possible. I can't hike in the heat at all anymore without feeling miserable. All part of the changes that come with age and hiking, I suppose.
I dont pin enough. It's a valid point though , heat is a huge factor . People I think drink water rather than remove layers . . Water isn't the answer. At speed or if I want speed . I go cold . As cold as I can . . And the opposite is layers . Any more than two is just smothering the biggest organ , the skin. I've even tried throwing water over clothes , it just makes me even warmer . Best a luck in the next one. Expect near naked footage😂@@nationalparksprincess3216
Thank you for the ride along , what beautiful countryside , its lovely for me as disabled person to be able to share your experiences in places i can not access ❤🌾🍄🌳🦉
THE CLIMB, IT'S A CLIMB, AN ENJOYABLE CLIMB, NON THE LESS, NOT GONNA LIE, THOUGH KEITH, I WAS EXPECTING, A BIT OF MYLIE CYRUS ❤😂 A GREAT SHARE, DO IT, DO IT DOING IT!!!!!!!! ❤😊😊😊❤
Lovely area for a hike...nice stream or babbling brook as you will. Were you looking for something or wanting to cool off? Oh I see 🤣🤣! Was that a brace? I do trip every now and then while filming and walking in areas like this. It's those tree roots that get me. You do keep up a steady ( fast) pace. I'm glad you stopped and let the area soak in on you. I agree, adventures find you - not the other way round. Great hike- I am puffing now. Take care. Gorgeous spot. So worth the effort.👌🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
@@IamaDutch-Kiwi it was my water bottle holder . It fell off while doing a refill on the filter . But I had the dog with me and the rain had the river going hard , so I came back this day to see if I could find it , lucky find .
@@IamaDutch-Kiwi the adventures that come all by themselves are the best ones. In terms of tree roots.. they are slippy little things. i walk with very short strides my feet almost right infront of each other. I learned this climbing a big hill in africa. Very little can go wrong keeping the feet doing small steps and i notice i don't get fatigue like someone who walks with a longer stride. But the stability of the short stride is effective in saving ones ass so many times. especially good in a high wind and if i do slip on a root the other foot is almost ready straight away to take up the load. i once did a 56km 35 mile walk.. on that day i learned to walk different. to roll each step almost like massaging each footstep. steady pace is how i train, its not advise i give but a method i find works for me, everyone is different. Must drop by your channel . Thanks for your comment
@@lifesahobby Thanks for the great response. I've actually not come across many people who walk similar to me...even my husband 'lags' behind 🤣. I have a problem with my lower back if I don't keep up a reasonable pace. Yes, roll the feet - a pediatrist once told me that. Great footage. 👌
Yeah, save your knees they're the only ones you've got Owen. At least the forest was midge free - steep in places but no midges. Re-content best thing is not to panic over these things. You won't lose your channel. Fantastic view on top bro. Good going. Mark

You need to have a power bank to recharge your camera batteries🪫 Good day to be out there climbing. How close are you to 4,000? Are you seeing it getting closer😁
i know by september october i will meet that figure.. so there's no stress. In terms of power banks, i was already carrying a drone which i did not use which had a power bank connected to it no means of charging a go pro without opening up said bag full of stuff .. to be honest i was more happy to not film. it was like the route is on hold
@@lifesahobby I've got your playlist on now giving you some watch time 😁 It's always good to take time to enjoy the hike without worrying about filming 😃
