I bought this because I am using Samsung for a long time now, I needed something that would seamlessly connect with my device with decent sound and noise cancellation. This pair is extremely comfortable for long hours of usage, I literally fell asleep with these on my ear on the very first day i bought it 😅
Coming from the Buds 2, these things are elegant, more detailed sound, and Atmos sounds incredible. Definitely worth the price as they're currently on sale
I have a samsung S23+, and if you go to settings, then sounds and vibration, then to sound quality and effects, you will find the custom equalizer settings.
I've been using these buds since launch, and I've had no issues with Dolby Atmos while streaming 24 bit audio through Tidal. Two caveats are that I've never tried Apple music and I have head tracking disabled. They've been great for me and I would recommend them to anyone that own Samsung devices.😊
Do you use them for workout especially running? I know they have ip rating but how does the matte material hold up against sweat after months of exposure? Do they fall out easy when running as well?
It's true that the eartips are smaller and don't get far in the ear but that's a strength too. The Buds 2 Pro are incredibly comfortable! I can have them on for hours and my ears don't get tired.
How well do they stay in your ear? At work I use a pair that has the piece to go over the top of my ear like sport ones so I'm debating switching to these because my phone and watch are galaxy as well
@@jmaxxs23 I use them for jogging and I've never had a problem. Keep in mind that all ears are different, I would recommend you to tried them before buying them. I find them so comfortable and small, easily the best earbuds I've ever used.
I have the Buds Plus, the Buds 2, and the Buds 2 Pro and I think they're all excellent. But I feel the Buds Plus with its winged design is better for the gym as the wings help them lock better in your ears. The Buds 2 are a bit more comfy in bed as they are a bit sleeker and the Buds 2 Pro are the best for features and sound quality is a notch better than the Buds 2. Although sometimes I find myself liking the sound of the 2s better, so I'm gonna have to check the settings on both to see which one is truly the winner for me.
2:15 For the EQ settings of the galaxy buds 2 pro, you can actually adjust them to be custome. It's just that this setting isn't in the wearables app. It's in the regular phone settings. You have to open device settings, then "sounds and vibration", then "sound quality and effects", then "Equalizer". It's a bit hidden in settings, but it does exist. Just make sure the Equalizer is on normal in the wearables app before changing things in settings. Note: this affects not just the galaxy buds 2 pro sound though, but the overall sound output of the phone. So whatever you customized thru this method would apply to your phone's normal speakers as well, and if you pair your phone to a different audio device.
Bear in mind there are no perfect TWS. I bought my Buds2 Pro few weeks ago and these are great pair of earbuds for only $120! Sound quality and Call Audio Quality is super! ANC is decent. Fit is decent and eartips could have been better, ears doesn’t seal fully; ANC kinda helps in that regard. Can't wear them for too long though.. my ears sweat and then they become loose after a while. Battery life is enough cause I don’t listen to music or talk on the phone all day; in my case 2-3 hours maximum daily usage. And there were days I didn’t even had to charge my buds. These are very powerful earbuds in terms of connectivity, I feel like there was zero delays in terms of audio playback; never noticed any slight glitch or lag. Touch controls works flawlessly. I mean at $120 this is a huge win for me.
@@akawale9017 I guess it depends on your location. I bought mine from a local store through online delivery; they're selling at 50% discount. I mean even without that offer you'll still find that the price dropped significantly (somewhere between $130-$160) and available for that price from most third party retailers. I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh by the way.
@@kavinff6851 Have you tried updating firmware? Make sure you're on latest firmware with Galaxy Wearables and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro manager apps. The problem you mentioned never happened in my case. I just got these a few days ago, and I still like my first gen. Galaxy Buds, I don't know if I'm just really used to my Galaxy Buds but they seem to sound better and fit better to my ear compared to the Buds2 Pro. The Buds2 Peohave a richer sound and deeper bass but idk, something about the first gen galaxy buds makes them sound clearer 🤷♂️
I have both, and yes, the buds 2 pro has a more neutral sound, and due to its high water resistance rating, this is my go-to buds for running. WFXM5 do have more punch and have a balanced tuning and I use it for traveling due to the ANC and battery
I brought some last week, unfortunately they hurt my ears after 1-2 hours but bearing in mind that everyone's ears are different. They sound really good!
I upgraded to these earlier in the year from the original galaxy buds I bought in like 2019. I love the improvement in sound quality (even on an iPhone) plus the noise cancelling I wish the microphone was a bit better for calls
Do you use them for workout especially running? I know they have ip rating but how does the matte material hold up against sweat after months of exposure? Do they fall out easy when running as well?
Omg I just got these. These are the first pair of iem's that have ever stayed in my bad ear. I had canal cholesteatoma as a kid and have no ear canal. So ear buds never stay in. These actually fit. And stay in if I head bang. Holy crap I'm so thrilled right now!
I exchanged my buds2 for buds 2 pro. I think the mic on the buds2 pro is worse than the ones on buds2. Making calls, many times I've been told they can't hear me. Never had this issue w my buds2 :c
I got my buds about 3 months ago and I definitely love the sound and the ease of using them the real major problem I have with them is no matter what ear cushion I use on them they're ALWAYS popping out of my ears. I thought maybe it was because of the way I was inserting them in my ear but I watched a few videos and I'm installing them properly. I will never buy another pair specifically for this reason.
Here's a thing, when reviewing something or deciding if It's good or bad don't compare with other devices in such obvious way. There are always better than the better versions. You can never find something perfect. That's why the company releases new devices every year or so.
Totally disagree. Products don't exist in a vacuum. Knowing that these have some minor Galaxy gimmicks but worse anc battery sound than even my xm4's, i know 0% reason to use my s24 ultra credit to get a free pair. Very useful
I actually returned xm5 and got buds2 pro instead. Maybe my unit was faulty but xm5's call quality and brief connection drops in a busy area were just too annoying. Sound quality was great though, I would say better than buds 2 pro. Although ANC was much better it felt actually weird for me as those goes deep in ur ear and I feel so pressured all the time, I prefer buds 2 pro in this department. Ambient mode was a joke and it was barely usable in wind with xm5, at least buds 2 pro was automatically stopping ambient mode in a windy environment and actually feels more natural.
Samsung Adapt Sound has worked wonders in fine tuning different notes for different hearing ranges. Definitely go through adapt sound with the buds before knocking the equalizer not giving you exactly what you want.
Just got these. Big upgrade from the original Samsung buds I've been using for years. My gripe is it doesn't go deep enough in my ear to create a good seal. Just like you mentioned...
After 3 months the right one started whistling and the case got very very scratchy. And Buds Pro 1 model is still in a very good shape after 2 years of everyday use.
I found that I can use the sound enhancements and equalizer on my s23 ultra separate from, or along with sound enhancement offered on the earbud app. All in all I'm satisfied with these earbuds but do not care that much for the silicone earpieces. Medium is a little too small and large is too tight and aches after a while. The memory foam ear pieces are always better than the silicone ones. They're much more comfortable and have way better sound. I'm looking for a pair that is made specifically for these earbuds.
I'm a "happy" owner of Sony XM4s which are discharging like crazy a year after I bought it. My left earbud shows 65%, my right one - 6% while I used them the same time. And still, even those 65% are left only after around 40 minutes watching UA-cam. Even I love how XM4s fit and sound, I don't think I will ever use Sony earbuds again.
Yo, im having the same issue here with the same earbuds. My left only last 1 to 1.5 hours fully charged. The right one 3 to 4 hours. The sound quality is great but idk what happened to them. Is it because their updates? Disappointed in them tbh . Was thinking of getting the newer ones but idk. Since I'll be getting credit from best buy. I'll probably try these earbuds out
@@JuanLR714 I'm not sure, but my right one only holds around 10-15 minutes now and the right one 1-1 hrs. And this is with all the additional processing disabled (i.e. no transparent mode, no noise cancelling, no talk to speak, etc.) I wrote to their support and they told me to follow the steps (like reset, reconnected, etc. which I've already done a million times). Then, when I tried to reply to their support email to tell that this didn't work, the system responded that I cannot reply to the email 🤣Great support work!
I've owned 4 pairs of the Bud+ because they where comfortable in my ears. I've also used all Airpod models and find them comfortable enough. I have small ears and was wondering if these are comfortable/not too bulky? Because they look like they might falk out of my ears lol
I just got my Buds Pro today. Saw them for $100. SNAGGED! and glad. The ambience setting is the perfect setting for a work place environment. You can almost forget they are even in your ears. I'm still fiddling around with the Voice Detection. Just the idea of auto dropping your volume when talking to someone should have made me buy these on release.
I have these buds and your review is spot on. I literally yeld out that's what I've been saying when you got to the eartips 😆 Any chance you've found some aftermarket tips for them that work better?
Yea according to allot of people these are the best buds for Galaxy phones which is good for me because i just bought a Z Fold 5 which i will get in about a week when the order comes into store.
This was helpful. I am considering upgrading to the S24 Ultra because Samsung is offering me $650 if I trade in my S22 Ultra. I can also buy a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for S49.99 if I upgrade my phone. I guess that is, in effect, a really good sale. I have a pair of the original Galaxy Buds that I very rarely use because they kept falling out of my ears. I've tried other earbuds over the last few years, but all have had issues. Most recently, I purchased a pair of Raycon earbuds. I've only used them twice because every time I put them in my ears, I got contact dermatitis and had extremely itchy ear canals for weeks. Since I hadn't experienced that with any other earbuds, I tried cleaning the ear tips with isopropyl alcohol and a cue tip and tried them again. I got 2 more weeks of itchy ears for my trouble. As a result, I have mostly just been using wired earbuds with a USB C adapter. Since I haven't been able to find anything online about the silicon in Raycon earbuds being different than that used by other manufacturers, I am reluctant to pay $300 for Sony earbuds; that may be great, but it also might give me more ear rashes. But I think risking $50 is more reasonable.
Thanks, Josh. I just made my purchase of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro after watching your video! I decided to get the Buds 2 Pro now instead of waiting for the Buds 3 because I heard the Buds 3 only new feature will be AI inclusion which doesn't seem worth the wait.
Got the Buds2 Pros for $30 when bundled with upgrading to the S24+. Hard deal to beat, mic quality didnt sound the best, but looking forward to trying to identify the difference in sounds with the proprietary codec.
Samsung equaliser is in the (goodlock) sound assistant app! You must install it, does not come pre-installed. It also gives per app sound control and bluetooth latency menegment.
I'm confused.... Those features that you mentioned at the end of the video aren't Samsung Galaxy exclusive... anyone can install the app and use those features. Even the ability to be paired to multiple devices
Yeah, that’s my bad. I didn’t mean for it to sound like Samsung phone exclusive. SSC and Samsung device switching are the only real Samsung device exclusive features I believe - Josh
I've had these for a few months now. Since then some of the features were not working as they should like the volume up and down by tapping the inside of the bud and calls weren't coming through clearly and the battery life was sub par. I did a reset and now everything works perfectly. Just a rip for anyone having problems with their buds to try. I'm still amazed at how they perform, like even the ANC works better, it's so weird.
In my opinion, if you're using any of the three devices Samsung offers their Z flip line z-fold line or any of the three variations of their single slab the regular the pro and the ultra then go ahead and buy these they are going to be worth it because not only do you get Samsung's proprietary codec you also get the best controls and sound quality on a Samsung device. The only downside to these is the fact that Samsung didn't put a resting spot on them such as wing tips or a place to grab them from so while you adjust them into your ear, you don't accidentally trigger that touch controls, but other than that, there're real good. They offer great battery life and as a Samsung user if you're one you're going to get the best out of the buds.
just ordered Galaxy Buds 2 Pro only at 6800/- 😍 Waiting for delivery today and will surely make a vedio and post it on my same chaneel.....just check it guys today or tomorrow......
I have every buds model produced and I still usually fall back on the buds live. No ear tips.. Claim no water resistance but I've worn in the shower for 2 years and even dropped in water a few times and never a issue 😂 I do like these b2p but honestly can't go wrong with any of them
Given that Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are going for about $90. Should I get this for my S24U or are there some other recommendations from you for under $100 ?
I just got the other day. I have slept w one in all night. And that was 8 hours. Today i have been riding in the car, and we have been on the road 7 hours and they still r going strong.
got these buds with my new galaxy s24+ for 70 bucks thanks to store credit samsung gives you and i must this, i like them! they just work and have good audio for me.
I have a Momentum TWS3 but a shortcoming of the TWS3 with Android devices is that it does not activate mono mode when a single earbud is used. Therefore, I find myself using the Buds Pro more than the TWS3 as I usually use a single earbud while walking. But the Buds Pro sound quality is becoming less than ideal as time goes on so I might upgrade to the Buds2 Pro. I wonder if the Sony wf-whatevers switch to mono with a single earbud.
My mum is gonna buy the z flip 5 tomorrow. one of the freebies is the Galaxy Buds2 Pro which she is giving to me. Luckily for me my phone is a sumsung specifically A05s. I'm very excited to try out my new buds! Please give me any tips to take care my buds.
I own this earbuds and I wouldn't recommend if you want to isolate all the noise out. They have a good ANC but if blocking all sound is your objective then it should be something like the latest airport. Though still they are just airport. Otherwise going for a headset like bose QC headphones would be better if you want the best ANC
Meeting with friends in crowded, noisy coffee shops is a challenge for my hearing. I find that using ear buds with noise-canceling works wonders, and the mics on the Samsung were the main reason for selecting them. Everything is subjective, but I may find the Samsung earbuds don't work as expected. My other choice is a set of $3000 Phonak hearing aids, but I'm not there yet.
Sorry to say but I wonder how much you really use the device and the buds. I see you have the s23 ultra and as you may very well know you can adjust the EQ from sound quality and effects under sound settings. The same way you can adjust the Dolby atmos settings to make it fit your hearing age. In terms of sound, base is not a measure you would use when talking about sound quality, actually the sound performance of the buds are very very good once you see the real sound output graph. Just saying in order to actually really review a device you should really go deep into them. Fit is also another factor that is very subjective as ear shape and ear canal has lots to do with that. I have multiple earbuds including this one and I use foam ear tips and the noise isolation is very great. Every company does a specific frequency block with ANC and that really will depend on how you define Noise cancelling for yourself as it's a very subjective thing to say. Completely noise isolation won't even happen on the sony buds as it's been tested in labs against other buds and it really doesn't fair that well. Anyways there are ways of improving the buds and yes they are not perfect but from the range I have they actually are very good with good sound fidelity not basey punch sound output.
"base is not a measure you would use when talking about sound quality," What? Bass is definitely something you consider with sound quality. This makes me think you have no idea what you're talking about. Bass, mids, and treble are ALL about sound quality. The level of bass, the impact, the dynamics, and the detail all matter with bass and accurate sound reproduction. "the sound performance of the buds are very very good once you see the real sound output graph". Yep. I was right. You don't know anything about audio quality. Sound graphs aka Frequency Graphs don't tell the whole story. The ear tip design and material and about how it fits in the ear makes a HUGE difference in sound quality. Frequency graphs only tell half the story with audio quality. Please don't comment with misinformation, ever again.
I have 2 pairs of Samsung Galaxy buds pro 2, and I'm so disappointed. The sound is good. The noise cancelation is useless, doesn't really do anything. The battery time is about 3-4 hours. Pair 1 "broke", one bud has a high pitch noise, when both are in use. Pair 2 just disconnect by it self, for no reason at all. The fit is not for my ears, but that's not Samsungs fault. The biggest and medium bud is to big, the smallest to small. I used to have JBL, they cost 25%-30% of the cost of Samsung. I'm going back to them. Perfect sound and noise cancelation that actually works.
I've used both the first and second galaxy buds pro ever since both first came out. The sound is very good, as is the ANC. But the microphones are utter garbage. The grills are blocked by dust etc very easily, and after a while just don't work at all, even after cleaning. This for me has happened on both the buds pro 1 and pro 2.
I've tried a LOT of earbuds. The Sony buds (all of them) make tons of body noise and occlusion in my ears, regardless of the tips I use. I ended up getting the Buds2 Pro in a desperate attempt to find something that was comfortable and boy did these fit the bill! I just use an EQ app to make them sound the way I want them to.
@@ShihanQu Body noise and occlusion are the sounds that the earbud makes in your ears as you move around. For some (like me) it's a loud, bassy "bow, bow, bow" sound as you take steps. For others, it's a gentle scratching sound. And for even other folks, there's no sound. In my case, I tried every type of tip I could find for the Linkbuds S and XM4's, from silicone to foam (and foam wrapped in silicone) and every step I made drowned out the sound. Even if I was just briskly walking, I couldn't hear the music at all unless I sat perfectly still.
keep in mind that samsung phones have a dolby atmos toggle in the settings, and you can customize it, like ''clear voice'' ''music'' ''automatic'' and a couple more.
Still the best in my opinion is the old XM3, yes others have better sound, anc and features but the 1 thing that makes the XM3 great was the ease to replace the battery. These newer earbuds are great but the battery degradation is just ridiculous, they only usually lasts around 2 years.
I have read and watched several reviews of different earbuds, and no one ever mentions movie watching, from like netflix, disney+, MAX or the sorts? I'd love to know if sound is in sync? I have the now old Sony WF1000XM3, they are perfect for movie watching, and my Denon earbuds have a huge sound lack, so they suck for movie watching.
The buds 2 pro can be found for £80 in the uk since there given away in phone deals and people sell them on ebay. You can adjust the EQ in samsung phone settings, and the EQ will be different depending on if the buds are connected or not. There's not much to complain about considering the price.
Major improvement over my BudsPlus, on regular downloaded music (from YT), UA-camMusic or Tidal. Also half the price of the one i thought about, Sony and Technics. Good integration with my S23U.
The spatial audio setting is basically a series of digital algorithms that imitate ambisonic audio. When combined with Dolby atmos, the audio signal is effected by 360 audio or Dolby Atmos, THEN that effected signal is processed again by the other signal processor. They are both designed to effect regular audio, not effected audio. It's a bit of a silly oversight to even allow both at the same time. 360 audio is a GREAT feature to have, of you can figure a way to incorporate it into listening to Binaural, ambisonic or similar audio tracks. If it could be utalised while editing audio, it would be a one of the best things since sliced bread.
Call/Mic quality from your video. The google ones are top; Samsung maybe 2nd, sony last. But how does it sound in an office environment? Do they pic up other voices around/on opposite desks?
I don’t know, when I use the buds it sounds like the sound is coming far away. Like how it sounds when you go to a live show/concert, even a movie theater. It’s really weird, not sure if it’s a bug

Although sometimes I find myself liking the sound of the 2s better, so I'm gonna have to check the settings on both to see which one is truly the winner for me.
do you know the wattage I can use to charge the Buds 2 Pro? I only have a 25W charger from Samsung and I'm worried about ruining the battery life.
@MrYilankor a 100 watt charger for that matter, assuming it's not a generic Chinese 3 dollar power brick
I use these on a samsung with "sound assistant" eq app, works well.
I mean at $120 this is a huge win for me.
how were you able to get yours for only 120?
@@akawale9017 I guess it depends on your location. I bought mine from a local store through online delivery; they're selling at 50% discount. I like the fit with the wing a little better.
I have both, and yes, the buds 2 pro has a more neutral sound, and due to its high water resistance rating, this is my go-to buds for running. WFXM5 do have more punch and have a balanced tuning and I use it for traveling due to the ANC and battery

I wish the microphone was a bit better for calls
Do you use them for workout especially running? I know they have ip rating but how does the matte material hold up against sweat after months of exposure? Do they fall out easy when running as well?
Omg I just got these. These are the first pair of iem's that have ever stayed in my bad ear. I had canal cholesteatoma as a kid and have no ear canal. So ear buds never stay in. These actually fit. And stay in if I head bang. Holy crap I'm so thrilled right now!
Im happy for you, hope you're enjoying the music !
Shocking fit regardless what tips fitted, need wingtips for sure,I've had to turn off the tap feature so I can keep pushing them back into the ear.
Glad it's not just me, they're awfully fitting, my old buds are much better...I'd have been pissed if I paid for them.
I bought mine for $60 as one of my friends who bought an s23u didnt like it, they’re decent in my experience.
Your decent
Where are you able to independently adjust the sound settings on your S23? I own an S20 Ultra. I'm using the Galaxy Wearable app to control these.

The galaxy buds are always the best way to go.
And this is with all the additional processing disabled (i.e. no transparent mode, no noise cancelling, no talk to speak, etc.)

I just got my Buds Pro today. Saw them for $100. SNAGGED! and glad. The ambience setting is the perfect setting for a work place environment. You can almost forget they are even in your ears. I have these buds and your review is spot on. I literally yeld out that's what I've been saying when you got to the eartips 😆 Any chance you've found some aftermarket tips for them that work better?
This review is all over the place. Why not focus on the product. I know more about the other buds than the ones came for.
You can customize the eq but you have to do it from the phone settings not the wear app.

I have a Momentum TWS3 but a shortcoming of the TWS3 with Android devices is that it does not activate mono mode when a single earbud is used. Therefore, I find myself using the Buds Pro more than the TWS3 as I usually use a single earbud while walking. Can I use the Samsung buds 2 pro to cancel all the noise and be in silence without listening to anything?
Also which color do I go for? I am confused.
I own this earbuds and I wouldn't recommend if you want to isolate all the noise out. They have a good ANC but if blocking all sound is your objective then it should be something like the latest airport. Though still they are just airport. Otherwise going for a headset like bose QC headphones would be better if you want the best ANC
I enjoyed the comparison with other earbuds, really useful for my final decision
Thanks for the upload!
What would you say would be a good price for the buds 2 pro as i can buy them for $180 NZD rn
Would the 360 sound work same on samsung tv as apple does?
Whats the price of it? Im about to purchase it cause my apple airpods gen 3 recently went through after having it for 3 years. Whats the difference?
I've tried a LOT of earbuds. The Sony buds (all of them) make tons of body noise and occlusion in my ears, regardless of the tips I use. I ended up getting the Buds2 Pro in a desperate attempt to find something that was comfortable and boy did these fit the bill! I just use an EQ app to make them sound the way I want them to.
What do you mean by body noise and occlusion?

The buds 2 pro can be found for £80 in the uk since there given away in phone deals and people sell them on ebay.
You can adjust the EQ in samsung phone settings, and the EQ will be different depending on if the buds are connected or not.
There's not much to complain about considering the price.
So persons buying samsung phones sell them on e-bay? In UK? Are these sealed? Some sellers sell multiples of these on ebay.

You buy the Buds Pro 2 for sound quality. It crushes everyone else. The Sony doesn't even come close like he's saying.
Can I charge these with any power bank or samsung 25 watt charger, will it impact battery life
The spatial audio setting is basically a series of digital algorithms that imitate ambisonic audio.
I can't decide which one to buy, buds 2 or 2 pro?

I suspect the bass is lighter to keep the ear buds lasting that little bit longer but I could be wrong.
