I love this scene between Eric and Sheila - the tension between them, Sheila's vulnerability and her anxiety about the great risk she is about to take. It is really compelling to watch Sheila's inner drama unfold.
Definitely more a Susan and Kelly scene than a Stephanie and Brooke scene. They’re always more themselves in Christmas scenes. It’s a B&B tradition I love.

The look Stephanie gave James at the end of the episode was just brilliant. Ridge and Brooke were toasting James and joking about him exorcising Sheila's demons, and Stephanie just looked him straight in the eye, dead serious, as if she alone knew that what James was about to do was no joking matter but truly a dangerous situation. Another great moment at that dinner was when they talked about James having children and Brooke said, "maybe when you get back from _Big Bear..."_ Brooke _knows_ (or at least strongly suspects) what James did the last time he was up there.
Ha! I love that. Stephanie is "reading between the lines" and Brooke is "close-reading." Meanwhile Ridge is illiterate (cluelessly and insensitively advising James to get married and have kids when he took Brooke and the kids away from James!).

A bit of a tangential association - as a Swede, I am familiar with how odd it always is whenever a member of the press interviews a member of the royal family, because the convention in our country is to address everyone, regardless of title, with an informal "you" (regardless of whether we're talking to our boss, our doctor, or our five year old child), but when it comes to the royal family the press has to address them with their title only, for example, if asking the Crown Princess if she likes meatballs, they can't say "Do you like meatballs?" but have to ask her, "Does the Crown Princess like meatballs?"

I thought about it too - how _extremely_ adoring the press seemed to be.
Then again, the press does love to gossip about royalty.
@@annieo6527 Considering Omar's staff thought he was going to bomb the yacht, I'd guess that the reporters know that their lives would be at stake if they did anything but adore the new bride and groom and be very discreet about what they learn.
Am I the only one or is anyone else bored with the racist story line with Taylor in Morocco? 😡😡😡😡
The nobility of Prince Omar is simply astounding! Compared to him, Ridge is like an alley cat! How Taylor can choose Forrester over a future king is simply incomprehensible!
