The only thing I liked about this game mode was that it allowed me to complete the dailies (and progress through the battlepass season) faster, as it was much easier to finish among the top 5 players on teams of 7 than on teams of 15 🤣🤣🤣
It was great way to grind my field mods in my few tier 10s, but I am not good enough of a player to get to gold, nor have I got enough tier 10s to feel like I am not at a disadvantage with flexibility when picking what I think the team needs. Weekly missions and rewards are worthwhile, but playing after completing those feels like a credit sink.
The problem with the mode is if you start in Bronze or Below you are stuck with players who don’t seem to know what tanks are suited for a map. I had hundreds of games where the tanks chosen had already put us at a disadvantage. I would check the players and try to help them pick better from the tanks they had. “Maybe next time on Himmels take your E100 instead of your Manticore”
I'd argue it's not even necessarily an issue of not knowing but not caring. I've seen a lot of players in and around bronze who just picked whatever they needed fieldmods on or only played for the weekly missions, which only 1 of them you had to actually win games for. Add to that the low player numbers in onslaught, even on EU, and there's quickly an imbalance created, especially in a 7v7 scenario where a single non-caring player / non-meta tank is often times an immediate backbreaker. It just doesn't work and the ranking system was far too thin spread with as little players as there were. I saw everything from 47-60% at bronze even late into the season and the qualification battles still meant jack crap mostly.

Might want to get yourself a lottery ticket if the game lets you get to Champion rank. It’s all about the team that is pre picked for you, and you can chat until you’re blue in the face about not using a Grille, or a 4005, or even a light tank, but in the end, you can’t click the button for them to pick something different. I’ve seen no difference in player difficulty no matter in iron lvl, up through even silver, so it’s not like you run out of skill the higher you get in rank. It all boils down to whether the team picked for you know how to work together, and use the special abilities that each tank has to its fullest.
For me, it's just constantly getting loser teams. Over and over again losing in the top place having done more damage than 4 of my teammates. It's just so frustrating! If anything, winning and getting a bottom place is quite relieving.
the previous two seasons i was able to get gold in about 150 games and i didn't have to go absolute try hard, However for this season i struggled to get past bronze after placing in bronze after the placement games. I managed to get silver and then just gave up because on the NA server it just feels so impossible to get gold without playing hundreds of games. I work a full time job i don't have time to play this game for 3 plus hours a day to get to where i know i belong being in the top 5 percent of players on the NA server. Personally i think the gamemode could be better by getting rid of the cap, but the biggest issue is there just isnt enough players on the NA server that play the mode anymore. The ones that do are often low tier players who play mainly tier 5 or 6 so they don't really know what to do at tier ten and it completely ruins the game mode.

I just can't with this game mode, I have a 54% win rate in the random queue. I started two weeks late and have only JUST managed to escape Bronze Hell. 7v7 is good on paper but it means one person choosing a non-meta tank or bring AFK has such an impact.
its not even the non meta tank problem. It’s literally people playing that mode like it’s randoms and scatter around the map. Like you can play the maus which in its own right just isn’t meta but it’ll do its job
The other issue with onslaught is that it is the only competitive mode in any pvp game that is very expensive to play, you have to fire gold, use directives,.... so alot of casual players wont even bother
this sounds like coping to be honest, have you never played clan wars? at least on the NA server comp play is the only game modes that are worth playing. playing anything else is a waste of time

i made a thousand battles. Highest i achieved was Bronze Rank at C level. Finished at Bronze E. Lost millions of credits. Lost many hours. I am not a bad player, 56% 2300 wn8. It is SO luck dependant. Managed to finish the season with just above 50% ratio. Half of the games my teammates picked wrong tanks for the map we were playing, like 1 light and 3 meds on himmeldorf or ensk, OR hiding and saving their HP until they were 1 vs 5 at the end and lose. I will not play again until they change the points system. I know my mistakes and not expect to be in champion or legend rank cause i dont have the skill or right tanks to be there, but in my opinion i deserved to be in silver rank or even gold. I was a clan war player for years in good clans, have thousands of battles with teamplay like SH and even in Rampage i got the t22 med without a rig. Ranked was also easier for me. But this mode for me seems to be pure luck of what teammates you get. 104 were my average points and 2500 my average damage. Or maybe i do something wrong which please let me know.
Very similar to me (55% win rate in randoms). I have played about 600 games in this mode and just wanted to get to silver for kpz 50t, then stop with this shit mode. I have gotten to A Bronze multiple times but can never get 1-2 wins to get across to silver. Teams are so dogshit and I agree it feels more luck dependent than skilled. I did 7.5k (more than I have ever done in random) and a 277 on my team did 6k and we still lost by over 3k hp. I agree that it sucks up credits as I've lost over 6 million, trying to fire gold only when necessary.
Update from previous post. I'm about to quit Onslaught (again), it's almost impossible for me to get out of Bronze. I get to within 2 or 3 games of advancing to the next league and then I am saddled with the dumbest teams and the worst people (yolos, map edge campers, etc..) Countless people using LTs when they suck at using LTs. I just want to get to Silver to buy the Concept. I can only do 5 to 8 games a night after work. I'm using the IS-7, it's my best t10 with the best crew. What drives me nuts is the fact people with no clue or ability can rent their way into Onslaught. So getting out of Iron was a mental test. If I get to Silver, I buy the Concept and I will NEVER play Onslaught again.
i have a sneaking suspicion that removing the debutant rank and addding in the E sub rank for iron, silver and gold, has something to do with the feeling of immensely stiff competition in this version of onslaught.
Also the fact that you need 100 pts to get to the next division. At first iteration (think it was last year), Onslaught ranking system was better and simpler. There was no “E” division, you only needed 50 pts to get to the next one, there was no Qualification league. I reached Gold league back then in sub 150 games by doing weekly quests and adding a bit extra games whenever I felt like. There was no reward tank back then, tho..
I lost years off my life trying to get out of silver definitely the single most infuriating game mode I have played in any game I'm praying they fix the rank points system next season
Thank for heads up. Most LT doing nothing in this mode on low ranks - die to early or just picking circles; no team play at all. Sometimes light setup with MT/LT can be good. But it feels like enemy team missplay or yolo-play from our side. This mode too dependend on team and time you have. Was not even get out of bronze. Maybe I am a noob. :D P.s: Do not like communication. Too toxic players.
Taking important positions is one of those that determines who wins. Like in mines, taking the hill with at least 3 CS will most likely win you the game, assuming those 3 CS aren't such trash. While in city maps, Maus and E100s are dominant. Hull down maps are obviously dominated by S.Conqs. If Kranvagns weren't nerfed, they would be dominating too, but Krans are so weak these days, specially in those fast paced games in ranked. LTs doesn't really provide anything, you don't need vision as it's only 7v7, there's also fast MTs that provides that flanking powers plus the DPM they provide, which LTs lacks. Although, it still depends on the skill level of your team.
There are a few things okay with this game mode. 1) You can grind the battlepass and get the daily missions done usually quicker then in a random match 2) You can grind the field mods on your tier 10s 3) With a bit of effeord you can get the weekly missions done and get the purple hardening Thats where it stopped for me. I played a lot of games and am a avarage player with 50% win rate in randoms I have 2 accounts and you can really see how radom the teams are setup for you. On one account I got to silver pretty quickly on the other one I just managed to get to it in the last weekend of the event. The game mode is pure RnG . It depends on what team you get If nobody is AFK if everybody picks a meta tank IF they know what or where they should go and do and how to play the tank they picked. So if one of those things does not happen its a frustrading row of defeats and looses of points and ranks. I went from silver E to iron C rank in an hour... Its just not normal... At the end I did not manage to get to gold so will play next season for silver to get the 2 pieces of the purple equipment and not even try to get to gold.
Qb you said it took you an hour to get legend off stream yet you played 24 games, so if your telling the truth, your average game lasted 3 mins and you never waited more than 1 second to que. Or is this another EgoBaby moment
I deeply regret the ranked battles where your ranking reflected your level. It was on merit. Now it's a question of luck depending on the players on your team.
Ranked was better, had better rewards and less grind and you didn't get held back by terrible teammates. I didn't even bother with it. Being top on the team and still losing 20 points was just dumb.
I played this gamemode to just get to silver gor the kpz 50t. Most infuriating gamemode i have ever played. No fun involved, just 2-3 minute shit fests where everyone yolos. This gamemode is more based on the teamates u get than any real skill. Did 7.5k damage (my most ever) and still lose by 3k hp. Not to mention the mode makes me and everyone more toxic. Never sworn more or seen more swearing in chat than this mode.
I suppose playing onslaught on EU server is okay. But playing on NA was a nightmare, considering we only have just over 10k active players. You can imagine the sweatiness.
Impossible to grind in that game mode when your teammates instant lock in light tanks in Ensk map. The amount of bad players present in this game mode is outrageous. I don't say I am the best or smth like this, but I pick the correct tank for each map accordingly with what my teammates picked as well, but my teammates just lock in random tanks. Sad.
I didnt even know you could get the Hurricane, if I had known I would have actually played the mode properly. Got to Bronze but a bit late for me now :^)
I had QB on my team. He pulled the team down. and he came 2nd last basicaly did zero. If you play light. And you meet a team that play heavy/med and they know what you do..... you just have 1 less tank on your team..... in this mode that is
I’m actually the last player on the board(Molten_one) and I got lucky enough to get exactly 2000 points by simply going through weekly quests. I got a little backup in case I end up in silver in one of the next seasons but the reward is not worth it 100%. Get a regular cs-63 and it will be enough
My problem is that you lose points no matter if you where top on you team. I had games where i had more dmg in loosing team than top 2 players on wining team combined and i lost points. All it takes is two dudes take LT on city map and you lose because rest of players give up... At least top player on losing team shouldn't lose points.
Hi ,Qucky !! I watch your videos almost from the beginnings...since we were thinking that HE Shells values are something else that actually were in the game :) in my case i was thinking "sniper mode" from arty it is really the mode you can aim acuratly, because my first tank was an arty (never knew they are other tanks types, did not knew about light, heavy etc)...until i discovered a light tank "T46" and find out it aims diferently :/ :):):).Back then were no content providers :( ; but about that...WG ask you to promote Onslaught(This is how this video "sounds" ?!), because of the lower players numbers...it's all because of the "retrograde %" ??!! By the Way !!! Good job "mate" !!! Keep it up !!! :)
Two things I must say: S.Conqueror and TVP are ridiculously strong which they should check. When players reach next level they should not fall previous one!
Onslaught is incredibly unfun as you lose more points on a loss than gain on a win so if you get stuck with some of the worst players in the trash tiers there is almost no escape.
playing this mode now is agonizing. The fact there is no rank locks, drop games, and you will always lose points on a loss makes this just an incredibly sweaty mode held up by good loot you can get. Like 250 bonds and more for just doing weekly missions. It's just agonizing.
For 90% of the players it is way too random. They should hard cap the levels, that would make players at least try. or at least don't take away point is you are in the top 2 of a losing team. i played this mode for the first time and started 2 weeks ago. maybe it is better at the beginning of the season, but my exp is, that this is just way too random. i have no problems of there being only 200 legends and 1000 champs, but it should be much more controllable. even if the awards would be better, the game would still be the same.
Biggest problem I face on NA is people being extremely prejudiced and defeatest about anything off meta in the lower ranks. It makes trying to win miserable, because how dare you pick an LT on Ghost Town or Sand River, or how dare you pick the 113, don't you know that's a bad tank? How dare you bounce a couple shots because you weren't paying attention to your ammo count and ran out of Heat against a maus... it's just miserable.
The most frustrating part is, I manage to be top of my team 90% But when we lose, I still lose points. Was near C but fell down to E, and keep going D and E constantly because of the point system.
Yeah im done playing the mode coz im only doing the weekly mission for the hardening bonds only and that's it im done there is nothing worth your time PLUS WG GIVING NO GOLD so its BASICALLY WORST version of the Old Ranked event 😪
Just buy one. You can get reasonable PC setups (monitor, the PC itself, mouse and keyboard, headset/speakers) for $500. And if you're on a reallyyyy tight budget, 350 or 200 dollars might get you something. If your watching this video you most probably have some kind of device in that price range.
The harsh truth of this system. It's a fact that only handful of players get to the rank where they want to to get good rewards. And eventually many players realize it. The players with less skill. So they understand there's no point for them to grind this game mode. So there isn't that bad players anymore to boost other guys points up. So slightly higher skill players fall out of the wanted ranks so they stop playing which makes the overall average skill level go even higher. And this is a endless loophole. And i really hope wg can make capping more rewarding than it currently is (in random battles). cause you wanna say me who manages to get their team a win by capping cause everybody else has too big of an ego to cap. and it giving only small amount of exp is silly.
I used to get lot of experience for my T10 field modes, I don't have competitive tanks and at the bottom af iron (usually) no one complained I played bad tanks. But Wins were really fruitful :)
It was a very had time for me too. My Wot ranking is 8200, 56% avg winrate, but from Silver League E I got down to Bronz league E, and not because i am not good enaugh for this game mode. The 25-30% winrates (whatever i did) that made me crazy. You can't play like that for hours cause i was losing my brain, patience and the points aswell... Hardly could get back to Silver C, and i was able jut for that... nightmare.
Congrats QB. As an average player I really dislike this game mode, its just not for casual players, to do well you need to treat it like a job....................
I liked that the RHM in your Champion game just drove up north spotting nothing then turned around and fled back south to the spawn and hid behind his platoonmate at the back of the map.
I stopped playing because those lower leagues are brutal. Typically I don’t mind a bad team in random because its relaxed. But in a game mode like this, its a waste of time to play with random teams
Being punished for doing well and still losing is what killed the mode for me. Ranked wasnt as bad, at least being the top player in a losing game held your position. Onslaught is just terrible.
Easy, just pick vz with experimental turbo and bond rotation mechanism + what ever (i like bond vents for this tanks).. Drive around at 60kmh and be the best medium tanks in the game. (Im actually not Running double shot gun because everyone expect it)
i cameback from season 2 and its almost exactly as you said. im playing for hours daily and didnt even get to bronz, and i had a ton of games with +6k damage that were still a loss... not rigged, but the teammates hold you down a lot.
Interesting comment section. I actually liked Onslaught even though I don't have any of the 'meme' Tier X tanks. I used it as a chance to drive my 5A and get used to it against other Tier Xs. I ran a 52% win rate in it so not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm not a Unicom and there were a lot of say, 46 - 48% Super Conq players playing in the mode so I didn't expect the teams to be all that great. Def. not a mode for light tank drivers either; teams really need to do as much damage up front as they can as soon as they can and dancing around the edges of the map in an EBR (that most don't have the skills to drive effectively) isn't going to help. I burned a lot of creds but I had fun (for the most part) and I wasn't the worst player out there by a long shot. And I blew right through the dailies fairly quickly (I expect that WG will change that now) so that was a big help every day.
I like this mode. But I am playing it casually: first prio is to grind through the missions. Second prio ist to finish season with some blue surplus tokens for 500 bonds each.
I havent played in ages, so when i jumped back in during the holiday event, i started grinding to get decent tier10s. Cause i knew ranked play would be coming, just so i can get myself the concept1b. I have almost 11k bonds, but i for the life of me cannot get past iron. Genuinely don't think im going to get to silver to get myself that tank :/
The only thing I liked about this game mode was that it allowed me to complete the dailies (and progress through the battlepass season) faster, as it was much easier to finish among the top 5 players on teams of 7 than on teams of 15 🤣🤣🤣

i have a sneaking suspicion that removing the debutant rank and addding in the E sub rank for iron, silver and gold, has something to do with the feeling of immensely stiff competition in this version of onslaught.
I've NEVER seen even one time the Hurricane in battle
Because it's so damn hard to get that tank. I played like 122 battles and im still at D on the lowest rank. It goes up and Down like crazy 💀
@@sarkaczsarkacz9305 nah i played 50 and im on 0 points
I lost years off my life trying to get out of silver definitely the single most infuriating game mode I have played in any game I'm praying they fix the rank points system next season
The pinnacle gameplay of WoT, such a majestic game ;P
my play time for world of tanks is night/early morning so unfortunately i never can play unique gamemodes due to "curfew". its ridiculous
It's a TEAM mode, alex. That's why it's so hard to get out of Iron for regular joes.
There are a few things okay with this game mode.
1) You can grind the battlepass and get the daily missions done usually quicker then in a random match
2) You can grind the field mods on your tier 10s
3) With a bit of effeord you can get the weekly missions done and get the purple hardening
Thats where it stopped for me.
From silver to iron in 1 Hour!! 😱😰
Qb you said it took you an hour to get legend off stream yet you played 24 games, so if your telling the truth, your average game lasted 3 mins and you never waited more than 1 second to que. Or is this another EgoBaby moment
This mode is something i didn't even want to try. Looks like I made the right decision.
You didn't like the rewards?
I deeply regret the ranked battles where your ranking reflected your level. It was on merit. Now it's a question of luck depending on the players on your team.
66 games a day!?! No job? No family? No wife/girlfriend? No life?
Don’t think I’ve ever cared less to play a game mode than whatever this mode is called
Played yesterday for 3 hours , never been ammo racked this many times in a wot session and i have been playing for 11-12 years
Obj 277 ??
Sad.
For me this mode is a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME , usles mode.
I didnt even know you could get the Hurricane, if I had known I would have actually played the mode properly. Got to Bronze but a bit late for me now :^)
I had QB on my team. He pulled the team down. and he came 2nd last basicaly did zero. If you play light. And you meet a team that play heavy/med and they know what you do..... you just have 1 less tank on your team..... in this mode that is
The stupidity that I have witnessed playing Onslaught truly has redefined what I thought was the limit in my 50k games in WoT.
I’m actually the last player on the board(Molten_one) and I got lucky enough to get exactly 2000 points by simply going through weekly quests. I got a little backup in case I end up in silver in one of the next seasons but the reward is not worth it 100%. Get a regular cs-63 and it will be enough
I quit WoT about a year ago, just like watching your vids :)
Thanks for explaining onslaught it will be my first time playing if I decide to play it .
Dont
1/4 of your day playing for 5 and half weeks .... thats no life
Two things I must say:
S.Conqueror and TVP are ridiculously strong which they should check.
When players reach next level they should not fall previous one!
That second game was anti-climatic af lol 🤣
Onslaught is incredibly unfun as you lose more points on a loss than gain on a win so if you get stuck with some of the worst players in the trash tiers there is almost no escape.
I only played quite literally once a week for the free premium days. 😂
Can you do a video with 121B ? I want to see if it is a good tank
Pretty sure he has already, and also watch his review on the Monkey King (a re-skinned 121B)
121B is a good tank. was buffed again about a year or so ago
Had to giggle when I saw the decal on the TVP at 4:23 .
This game is ridiculous! I have seen many good players with 2500+ WM8 lost their games just because of 2 or 3 bad teammates.
6 hours a day just in that game mode is absolutely ridiculous
i would never bother playing it,but i love watching it :)
playing this mode now is agonizing. The fact there is no rank locks, drop games, and you will always lose points on a loss makes this just an incredibly sweaty mode held up by good loot you can get. Like 250 bonds and more for just doing weekly missions. It's just agonizing.
Based Base Capper.
Don't let the haters win. Nice job.
I quit because i was so [censored] tired of the blowout wins and even more blowout losses. I played maybe 50 games over two weeks.
I didn't even notice there was a tank up for grabs. Had I known that, I would have tried to get gold rank.
This mode is actually depressing me. I'm bouncing between iron and bronze while averaging 100+ prestige points.
i think there should be system like if you are top 3 of your team you wouldnt lose any points
The most frustrating part is, I manage to be top of my team 90%
But when we lose, I still lose points.
I thought ranked was awful, but Onslaught is truely where fun goes to die. It’s pure misery.
I guess i am the only one here who still didn't play WOT because of no PC, but I like it without trying it just because of watching you QB
Never ever am I gonna play 6 hours a day for 40 days ...
13:46 ! LMAO ! Take that sweatlords ! 🙃😉🤑
wait so i can only get the hurricane reward if i played the last season? cause if that's the case why the fuck would i play this game mode at all LMAO
I liked that the RHM in your Champion game just drove up north spotting nothing then turned around and fled back south to the spawn and hid behind his platoonmate at the back of the map.
onslaught seems like an even more toxic version of ranked.
I stopped playing because those lower leagues are brutal. Typically I don’t mind a bad team in random because its relaxed. But in a game mode like this, its a waste of time to play with random teams
just don't bother playing this mode after a few games, and starting enjoy my life once again.
I have never enjoyed any game mode with the air drop style attacks.
Being punished for doing well and still losing is what killed the mode for me. Ranked wasnt as bad, at least being the top player in a losing game held your position. Onslaught is just terrible.
I was 5 points away from promotion, dragged me all the way down over and over again
Easy, just pick vz with experimental turbo and bond rotation mechanism + what ever (i like bond vents for this tanks)..
Drive around at 60kmh and be the best medium tanks in the game.
(Im actually not Running double shot gun because everyone expect it)
Then 277 better.
As a pretty average player (49%) I didnt even bother clicking the onslaught game mode
Never will play a single game of this mode. I value my sanity
i cameback from season 2 and its almost exactly as you said. im playing for hours daily and didnt even get to bronz, and i had a ton of games with +6k damage that were still a loss... not rigged, but the teammates hold you down a lot.
I just want to stop going down so much in rank in a couple bad games, just to buy something for a massive amount of bonds
dont forget NA can only play around supper time for onslaught
Didn't even bother trying Onslaught because I NEED BATTLE POINTS!!! I DO NOT have time to waste on ANOTHER game mode
I got Gold and almost champion on the first ever season of Onslaught. This season I barely got to silver and did not enjoy a single moment
I like this mode. But I am playing it casually: first prio is to grind through the missions. Second prio ist to finish season with some blue surplus tokens for 500 bonds each.
I don't play Onslaught as it would just emphasize that I am not really good enough to play at Tier 10.
Have no idea how they awarded subtracted points felt a bit random at times but I did enjoy the 7v7 game mode
How to win onslaught......be on the team that puts all tanks on cap.
Ah... I have you to blame for all of the mediocre RHM lights on my team...
Onslaught mode is bloody horrible unless your in a platoon.
4:18 How did the E50M know it was QB? He was anonymised. Oh, he played while streaming. Maybe not the best thing to do.
You don't know how streamsniping works do you?
@@dylanandmolly3739 Not exactly. It's not something I've ever looked into.
