I’m a bit fat(220lbs), picked up the Russell Winfield Ride Algorythm 164w last year. It’s awesome. I tend to ride kind of stiffer freeride type boards so the Algorythm has sort of a close to similar stiffness, stability and control but it’s a tad less of that and way more lively. I really enjoy riding it and find myself grabbing it more and more often. Lately the rotation has been that along with a 161 Never Summer East, 161 Yes Optimistic, 195 Lib Doughboy and the 164 Weston Big Chief Split. The Ride is seeing more action than the others.
Thank you, Angry! Just picked up Jones Mountain Twin Pro this week. This channel helped a lot. Became a close toss up with Capita Mercury. MT Pro sounds like it will be slightly more versatile, and better for Ice Coast.
Thanks for the list gentlemen, happy New Year's! Surprised to see the Assassin Pro at #1, but it sounds like Salomon killed it! I am East Coast and was told the Assassin had a hard time out here, but I may have to check this out now!

Thanks Avran, picked up the Assassin Pro a few weeks ago based on your review and been loving it. I like how Salomons shadowfit rides in their bindings. Do you think if I pick up a pair of the District Team Pros they would be enough binding for it? I have been riding the Assassin with the Atlas Pros and just want something slightly softer for the board.

First of Happy Ney Years to you Angry~~!! So Ive been eyeing the YES GREATS Uninc , how would you compare the Nidecker Gamma to it? I like the Carving ability and Switch riding, but I do like some good Pop, speed & for All Mountain Freestyle, would the Salomon Assassin Pro be the Better option between the Yes GREATS and Nidecker in terms of All Mountain Freestyle? Gen X'r Here still All Mountain freestyle riding ~ Thank you for What you do brother, I appreciate it~
Happy New Year. The big debate between the Yes and Nidecker or the Assassin is if you want a true twin or directional twin. But between the Gamma and Greats it's going to come down to how the pop engages and the edge hold. The Yes has better edge hold underfoot, while the Gamma has an easier to engage and more responsive snap.
I’m looking for a new board. Right now on the assassin 150 from 2017 I think. In a store they recommend the lib tech golden orca, capita mega mercury and death. I’m looking for an upgrade for carving and pow. Are the boards above great or do you recommend one of the video above? Also just bought the Nidecker supermatic.

Old one, yes. New one changes a lot of the issues that had. Completely overhauled for 2025.
