What a explanation!!! I have gone through Psalm 22 many times and yesterday when I was reading this psalm again word "WORM" hit my heart and I started to search on this .....Praise be to God after search on different resources I came to understand what Yeshua said " I'm like a worm" ...
thank Paul for the great insight.

      Yeah and it's BS.
Jesus never says he is a worm, much less a crimson worm. In Psalm 22:6 it is David who is calling himself a worm, Jesus NEVER calls himself a worm as Jesus does not go that far in what he says on the cross. Jesus in his human suffering is calling out to God as having been forsaken as David had called out in the same grieving moment of Psalm 22:1. David's referring to himself as a worm is in admittance that he is deserving of that kind of scorn from God. Jesus never goes any further than Psalm 22:1 because he is NOT deserving of God's scorn.

Wow! I was reading Genesis 46, which lists the descendants of Jacob. Normally the "begats" are biblical passages that don't appeal to me. (Which is common to many believers, I'm sure.) But, for some reason, the sons of Issachar jumped out at me. Like Issachar, I have 4 children, so I felt like the Holy Spirit was communicating something to me about my own children through Genesis 46:13. Each of my kids looked up the meaning of the name that they were assigned. 3 of the 4 were ecstatic about the name they were given, but the first, who was given the name Tola, was baffled.
We watched this to find out more about the crimson worm. Now we're really excited to be counted among those whose very name prophesies of the Messiah and His gift of salvation purchased through crucifixion.
    Thanks so much for sharing!

Let me encourage you to watch this. It's a segment of a teaching I did called "What is your name". The meaning of the names are more important than the names themselves. The whole gospel story is told in the names of the begat chapters.

    Psalm 22
Here we find David in the greatest affliction. Hence the famous exclamation, which was afterward repeated by the Christian Savior in a similar situation: Eli, eli, lama sabachthani? My El, my El, why hast thou forsaken me? why dost not thou help me? why so far from the words of my roaring? Thus, David addressed the winter (El), but not for help, because, as he well knew, he might have cried both night and day, as he said he did, to the Elohim, who were far distant from him, without obtaining help until spring came - " thou hearest not." Hence, he prayed to Elohim prospectively, believing that when he could make them hear, help or summer would come. But while praising the Holy One of Israel (summer Sun), his mind suddenly reverted to his low condition, whence he exclaimed: "But I am a worm and not a man;" thus happily comparing his situation (that of the Sun in winter) to a worm in its chrysalid state during the winter. " He rolled on the Lord " (marginal reading), i.e., the Sun rolled through the heavens as we daily see it, and trusted that the Lord would at length bring him into the summer hemisphere.
"Thou art he that took me out of the womb (of winter), and didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts (shadi, the word so frequently translated Almighty). David, Christ, Ganymede (Joy-promoter), and many other Gods, were born at the winter solstice, where they were all, David among them, placed upon their mother’s lap. Hence David (vs. 10) says, "Thou art my God (my El) from my mother's belly" -mid-winter. Don't go off, for trouble is near, and there is none to help (vs. 11). Many strong bulls of Bashan have compassed me around. The dogs (Canis major and minor) have beset me (are come around opposite me): I am poured out like water, my strength is dried up, and I can count my bones (ribs). They part my garments among them, and cast lots (gamble, as the "bulls and bears" still do) upon my vesture (the crops).
But, O my Lord, O my strength, haste thee to help me! My only one, deliver me from the dog, save me from the Lion's mouth (Leo roars as a lion), for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns (the constellation Taurus). Then, Oh, then, will I praise thee in the midst of the congregation (the seven summer months), and show a line crop! Yes, then will I praise thee, and the meek (the people in winter) shall eat and be satisfied - filled.
Bashan aka House of the Sun = "Summer," = spring equinox (River Jordan) to the autumn equinox (River Euphratess).

Below is the description that can be copied and sent to other members of the Body...
    Crimson/Scarlet Word & Jesus
"But I am a worm, and no man.” What did he mean by saying “I am a worm”?
Usually in the Bible, the Hebrew word for a worm is “rimmah”, which means a maggot - but the Hebrew word Jesus used here for worm, is TOLA’ATH, which means “Crimson worm” or “Scarlet worm”. Both scarlet and crimson are the colors of blood - deep red.
The Crimson worm [coccus ilicis] is a very special worm that looks more like a grub than a worm. When it is time for the female or mother Crimson worm to have babies (which she does only one time in her life), she finds the trunk of a tree, a wooden fencepost or a stick. She then attaches her body to that wood and makes a hard crimson shell. She is so strongly and permanently stuck to the wood that the shell can never be removed without tearing her body completely apart and killing her.
The Crimson worm then lays her eggs under her body and the protective shell. When the baby worms (or larvae) hatch, they stay under the shell. Not only does the mother’s body give protection for her babies, but it also provides them with food - the babies feed on the LIVING body of the mother!
After just a few days, when the young worms grow to the point that they are able to take care of themselves, the mother dies. As the mother Crimson worm dies, she oozes a crimson or scarlet red dye which not only stains the wood she is attached to, but also her young children. They are colored scarlet red for the rest of their lives.
After three days (yes...3 days) the dead mother Crimson worm’s body loses its crimson color and turns into a white wax which falls to the ground like snow. So what did Jesus mean by saying “I am a worm”? There are a lot of ideas what Jesus might have meant, but nobody really knows for sure. However, it is very interesting that, just like the Crimson worm, Jesus sacrificed or gave up his life on a tree so that his children might be washed with his crimson blood and their sins cleaned white as snow. He died for us, that we might live through him!
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18

  • @FishHeadSalad
    @FishHeadSalad 6 років тому +1

@2:28 Now that's odd. According to Strong's Concordance, the very first translation listed for Tola’ath is "a maggot". For it to mean "Crimson grub" one must add shani as in Tola`ath shani which is not what is written in Psalms 22:6
@3:12 That is Coccus hesperidum pictured, NOT Coccus ilicis.
Also, Coccus ilicis is an insect, not a worm.
@3:27 LOL!!! Those are not crimson worms, you silly man! Those are galls created by the wasp, Plagiotrochus quercusilicis!
Also, the eggs Coccus ilicis are ONLY laid when the insect is on an oak tree. And NEVER on fence posts or sticks.
Also, the newly hatched larvae DO NOT feed off of the mother.
Also, the pregnant mother only produces the red fluid/dye in its body and in its developing eggs. In other words, only the females produce the red dye (which is transferred to both male and female eggs) and only for a month at the peak of the insects adulthood.
Also, the larvae/insects (except for the males) do not stay red for the rest of their lives.
@6:32 LMAO!! That tree you are using in your video is actually called a "dragon's blood" tree due to its dark red sap and has absolutely zero to do with crimson worms! LOL!! Interesting how you would use dragon's blood tree imagery in a Christian video.
@7:20 3 days?? LOL! Try up to 30 days starting sometime at the beginning of July. And the live female worms [insects] with eggs still attached are what is harvested. Dead ones are only collected as a second choice.
If you got your information from science sites instead of creationist/evangelical sites, you would know these things.
Also, Coccus ilicis feeds ONLY on oak sap, NEVER on bread/manna.

(Matthew 27:46, KJV). "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” This cry is a fulfillment of Psalm 22:1, one of many parallels between that psalm and the specific events of the crucifixion.
