Alcohol is not sold in shops hotels or restaurants in somaliland but there is a black market for it..its often smuggled from Ethiopia ..if someone wants it they will search for it with connections but its risky and can end in jail time depending who you are and your status in the country..i wish this stuff never enters the country we dont need it on our streets

You can get alcohol easily in Hargeisa just not in shops but through suppliers underground. I know people who used to work for foreign diplomats who said that they were allowed to bring in alcohol for them to consume privately.
