Hi Ben2, Thank you for these wonderful tutorials. I am looking forward to seeing other functions of NVivo such as analyzing surveys and using it for mixed-method research.
Hello! Thank you for putting these videos together. I have watched some in the series but haven't found the answer to my question. Is there a way to export a report as a CSV, or to export a survey dataset with the codes connected to the responses?
Hi Robin, yes, right-click in the report and select 'Export'; in the 'Save as type. option choose 'Excel Worksheet' option. The report will be saved as an Excel file from which you can convert it to CSV. format. However, it will look the same as it does in NVivo or Word so if your intention is to if your intention is to import it into another database you may need to do quite a bit of tidying up to get it into nice neat rows and columns. A better way to do what you want is to use a 'Framework Matrix' which can be exported to Excel very seamlessly abd will contain the text in each cell by case.Info here: help-nv.qsrinternational.com/15/win/Content/notes/framework-matrices.htm?Highlight=framework and a short video here: qdatraining.com/using-the-framework-matrix-grid-in-nvivo/ I hope this response is helpful,
