Vessel and II's identities are pretty easy to find on the internet by now, no need for voice decoding or any shenanigans like that. Not gonna tell you exactly how, but you can search for it if you want. III and IV have also been "outted", but those are more difficult to confirm. I still enjoy the band the same way, it's the songs that matter, not how they present themselves.
It's interesting how you mentioned the snare tuning, as it is tunned-influenced by Deftnes' Abe, drummer. Perfect pitch indeed. Glad to have stumbled on you both and much love from Portugal
Also, some songs of theirs in Take Me Back To Eden include clues to Vessel's identity and the band he was in before Sleep Token. Namely the clues are in Ascensionism and Euclid. There's a clue in each song and together they make sense. It's almost as if Sleep Token play and tease us a little bit and kind of want you to find out who they are in a secret and clever way. It's really fascinating and kind of makes me think of the TV show The Masked Singer, just in this case it would be The Masked Band and with very little clues lol.
10:46 - “As well as some of the more extreme speed players such as Derek Roddy”…..proceeds to play extreme speed section of Sleep Token’s repertoire /s 😂
you should react to the band unprocessed there new record just came out titled "...And Everything In Between" I recommend listening to the whole album but if you can't do that for a video, Then i would recommend "Thrash" or "Blackbone" or "Glass" or "Die On The Cross Of The Martyr"
I'd imagine getting into extreme music in the late 90s early 00's puts him about 10 years behind me. So, 39 give or take a couple of years. I can hear Danny Carey, Tomas Haake, Mike Bourdin, Peart. All sorts.
Figuring out who II is wasnt hard at all. DW drums are all one of kind drum sets and once i saw the kit i knew who it was. His movements behind the kit match II's as well
@inviz666 nah hes definitely a 90s kid and same age as me slipknot started 98-99 and mudvayne is early 2000s and thats the music i grew up to. numetal era . II is definitely late 30s or 40
