What a treat! I try to stop by every time my wife and I visit my son who lives in Madison. I really appreciate how friendly and helpful the employees are. I have sold a lot of games to them over the years. They respond quickly and offer to buy games fair price (especially if you opt for store credit). I highly recommend them.

My pleasure, Tom. We were talking about that in the car on the way back, but everyone seems to genuinely enjoy working there. People were incredibly welcoming and the energy in the gaming room/store in the evening was fantastic. Really a great spot to connect to the joy of gaming.

That’s so cool! My first Noble Knight purchases started last year. Absolutely stunning customer service. I have zero reservations buying used from Noble Knight.
That's been my experience as well, and it was great to see the operation in action, and how much people enjoy working there. :)
I can vouch for their customer service. I ordered a VG condition copy of 1776 in early July. 3 weeks later I wrote to say I hadn't received it yet. Next day they replied that they had evidence of it being packed but no evidence that it shipped but they couldn't find it. Pure honesty. I loved it. We worked out a deal for a lower quality copy with a price difference refund. I have no problem ordering from them again.

I've made many purchases from Noble Knight and have always been happy. I had to return most of the items in one order due to damage in transit-and had no problems. And when one boxed game listed as complete showed up missing a few components, they opened a different copy of the game and sent me just the missing components (and then-I checked-they relisted the other copy to show that those components were missing).
I'm willing to pay a bit more than eBay bargain prices for the security of knowing I'll get what I pay for.

It's my home away from home. I was looking over my new copy of Skies Above Britain there when we had a chance to shake hands while you were walking by. That warehouse can really blow your mind! I can guarantee that they make their mistakes right, in the rare cases I spot an issue they are so quick and helpful to resolve the deficiency to my satisfaction. The staff are all wonderful, too.
For folks dropping by, realize that what you see in the showroom is a microcosm of their inventory. There are kiosks for searching for what you're looking for and the staff will go get it for you! It's really heaven for this old grognard to have in their backyard!
As for an intro war game I'd pick 'Storms of Steel' by Academy Games for a first timer. I'd definitely walk away with $5M!

So cool to see this, loved the interview. It's amazing to see what you are becoming in the wargaming world, and in such a short time! Watching your content has certainly encouraged me to play more board games with my kids, and more interesting ones too.

Interesting look into the company. Free posting was tempting, I did once before, knowing I would be charged Duty & VAT, which basically negates the free postage, but was well worth it. Many thanks for the insight.
It's nuts how expensive overseas shipping is at the moment. If I were President of the World, all wargame shipping would be free.
@@ZillaBlitz Not just the shipping, but VAT, duty & carrier admin charges. Perhaps I should move to the US.
For sure, seems like it would be better for business if there weren't so many fees like that.
Honestly, if it were not for Noble Knight, I could not afford to be a gamer. Their service is top notch, and I never got anything that wasn't exactly as advertised. Is it that Midwestern neighborliness that makes them a great store? I don't know. But I really wish there were places like NK in the Pacific NW. (There are not).

Glad to hear this, and I can relate. They were key in filling out the games I was looking for in the Bulge Off in December as well as a number of older Avalon Hill games that were in great shape. And the one time something was off (wrong edition) they fixed it immediately.
I essentially vended the entirety of my old tabletop miniatures hobby (40k before I got sick of GW's antics) to NK and reinvested it in war games with the store credit. I keep a Wish List on their website and pull the trigger when items, new or old, pop up. Then I swing by after work and check it out.

That's one thing that struck us too, and we were talking about it on the way home. People are incredibly nice in the store, and were friendly with everyone. :)
I go to Madison quite a bit for work and stop here just about every time. Not good for my wallet though 😀
Haha, yes, I could see that happening. Although Solo Battles, who I traveled with, traded in two boxes of games and ended up with more in store credit than he spent on the trip. So he came out ahead!
