this is incredible! I believe they were able to survive because of being debt free. It is massively under rated to be debt free especially in hard times such as the pandemic. Also their hardworking hands on approach to business. Clearly they would have been successful in any venture they started given their previous careers and their willingness to put in the hard work. Kudos to them!

Not really on the debt free side. There were several companies o. Here that did better during covid that weren't debt free. Several said they had to pivot strategies. You always hear successful people say one key to success is knowing how to pivot fast.

Not really it depends on the company and the team etc. You had some companies that did better, you had people that knew how to adjust to covid and others that weren't doing that well before covid covid just finished them off. I would drive by restaurants and hardly nobody was there. I would walk inside and the food etc wasn't prepared properly etc. Several reasons companies failed not just cause of covid, it was easy for people to just say it was covid's fault. I invested in a company that has Hawaiian etc food we have our locations and franchises we sell. We sold several even during covid and generated outstanding revenue. One good thing that came from covid was some people started realizing they better have something on top of their job. If you see covid is hurting you financially are you going to keep doing the same thing that obviously isn't working or try something else. You have many people now still blaming covid even though it started a few years ago. When I was struggling very bad I had two choices keep doing the same thing hoping things better one day or try something else. Business is no different

They knew how to pivot and do it fast. There were several companies from shark tank that had to pivot strategies during covid and they ended up doing alot better financially than before. Many businesses that failed during covid didn't know how to pivot. Yet pivot fast like this company did.

I'm a long-time fan of Marcus(his relatives lived down the street) and his show, but this episode was tedious. The constant talk, only some of it productive, made this easily turned off. A crab shack in Brooklyn doesn't make sense. No one goes there looking for expensive seafood; I've been there and tourists and locals mob the cafes for ethnic cooking(Russian, Italian, Soul, etc.) but not seafood.
