I worked at Dollar General and this woman had a cart FULL of toilet paper and paper towels and kleenex. She saw a tiktok saying if she downloaded certain coupons it'd all be free. It still rang up around $20. It was a whole ordeal. She was so mad at me. Yelling and cursing. It was a SATURDAY! The line was piling up.

I don’t understand that. I don’t. You’re a person and you’re doing a dignified job. You’re worthy of respect like everyone else. I really despise the “respect is earned” crowd. Respect is a given, it is not earned. You don’t have the right to demean people.

Dude i bring my beardied dragon (around towm and buy things for a dollar if time allows to stores that the cashiers/clerks/who ever is working a store), always put things back on shelfs are slightly out of place, chat the cashiers up and always try to make thier day better, and always (if i can that day/my bipolar allows it) wear a smile/be a fun clown/do a little stupid dance and make them laugh, i dont try to hard or try and Embarrass myself or whoever i'm with but, I will try my best to lift spirits of whoever is cashing me out, or working somewhere i fequent almost daily, heck i love making peoples day having my beardie some people absoultly love him, and i believe Rizzle loves a few people especally the Valero and Family Dollar manager down the road, it makes my day making thiers, and heck sometimes i tip workers, heck this one dude didnt want to clean up a parking lot once, so i did it for him before anyone in the store could notice, made thier and my day, hell a smile never costs anything but can make a world of difference for a day mentality you know?
      Sorry for the book lmao!

The respect for cashiers part is SO true! HEB is always strict w/ coupons and one time my manufacture coupons just would not scan. So the manager came along and input the info in. I kept saying Thank you lol. Kindness goes a long way. I felt so embarrassed that day though.

As I fellow couponer let me say cvs is definitely the way to start. You get additional store coupons(crts) that you can use with the ready coupon and sale. And recieve extra bucks so if you don't have to many coupons or want to get a feeling I think cvs is a good start plus they are usually more lenient and will take as many coupons. That's my opinion and recommendation of course. Good luck new coupons this is a great video break down.

How to avoid waisting money with coupons:
    1. Don't buy something you don't need just because you have a coupon for it.
    2. Do a price comparison with store brands. Store brands may still be cheaper than the coupon item.
    3. Don't buy a product that you currently have enough of. So see how much of a product you have before going to the store.

I've just got back into couponing, and when you dragged out the big binder and the clear baseball card sleeves, my binder would fall out of my carts and fall apart in the store more times than i care to remember but digital coupons are much easier to deal with but tend to glitch more often especially recently at Walgreens. Which is my closest drug store that does coupons thanks for all your help on my journey back into the digital world of couponing.

THANK YOU! ive always wanted to get into couponing because of my aunt but i really got interested when she started my household stockpile only spending $13 then turned around and scanned all of her receipts on fetch and gave me a $50 gift card. we got toilet tissue, paper towels, dish soap, toothpaste, laundry detergent and even a few body washes. we did the math in the end and she would have spent almost $350 on everything she bought 😅i don't want to be as extreme as my aunt but i do want to start saving money on everyday household items

I’ve not done a lot, but I did score buying 2 bottles of our shampoo/conditioner for $0.19 (had to pay the sales tax) and earning a $5 ECB on that deal. Then I used the ECB & a MFC to score a free bottle of lotion (again, had to pay $0.19 sales tax). Not getting a lot of free items yet, but have paid A LOT LESS for items we use You are AWESOME for sharing your knowledge to us newbies!

Thank you for putting this tutorial together for us. I love watching your videos because the way you break everything down is easy for me to understand. I appreciate all of your time and effort that you spend creating these very informative videos to share your couponing knowledge with us who are eager to learn. The beginning of your video you mentioned that couponing is the same no matter what state you live in except for places like Hawaii.... I'm from Hawaii.... I've been wanting to coupon since realizing how much $ a single parent like myself could save for basic household necessities and so much more. With Covid came along the most challenging, overwhelming, frustrating, heartbreaking, and trying times for my babies and me. We are still struggling to stand on our feet as the effects of Covid continues to hit us when were already down but we still fighting willing to do new/different things to help ourselves up. With that being said, I really want to give couponing a try. Is it harder for us in Hawaii to coupon? May you explain to me why that might be?

I personally get almost no good CRTs or CRTs that I can utilize on top of one another for CVS. I only get the manufacturer coupons for the most part, so I primarily just coupon at Target, Walgreens, and Walmart depending on the rebate apps. As someone new that has learned from a few different UA-camrs and TikTokers, could you do a video on the rock bottom price that you mentioned in this video? I am not sure what deals are worth it as a new couponer. I do try to avoid getting things that will not be useful either now or in the near future.

You are totally correct about Alaska. We only get P&G in our Sunday paper . We also don’t have dollar stores or CVS. I will check out BQ Savings though thanks ! Best beginner coupon video I’ve seen and I’ve watched lots of couponing videos . My name is Alicia too 😉

@@CouponswithAlysia well if you need some couponing content for Alaska I’d be happy to share with you . I am not equipped to do my own videos so I’d be happy to help 🙂 Anchorage Alaska doesn’t have sales tax either .

Hi Alysia, thank you so much for your tips, I just didn't get if we can use multiples couples for same item, like one store coupon, one manufacturer, one printable etc, for one item.
    Thanks for your help

Yes! For the most part- sometimes at Walmart the price is a bit higher.

Hi! I was wondering how do you tell what’s a good deal at Walgreens vs just going to like Walmart?

What categories do you have in your “binder”? Do you clip all coupons or do you have the inserts filed and only clip what you need for your transactions? Thanks in advance. I will say that there have been two ladies in my CVS stores that look like the old TV show clearing shelves lol😳😬🙄

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that when you go to buy the printable worksheets, when it asks to put your state(for billing info) if you click the wrong one it won’t let you change it so you have to completely back out then go back in! I don’t know if that’s something you can fix or not! Thank you for the video and the help!

Can you post information on using Ibotta rebates? Not sure how to incorporate using this such as do you scan a receipt after purchase or is it a before purchase action? Thanks so much.
