Yes. Just because people deal with grief differently doesn't mean they aren't hurting. I know I can control my emotions until someone asks how I'm doing, or brings up the person I'm grieving. Work is generally my go to in order to be distracted. Some people are stronger than myself, and can put up a better front around others, but might break down completely in private. And whether you think there are differences between men and women, or not... most assuredly men tend to be better at hiding their emotions.
The Bottom Line, whether you are a lobbyist$ wanting to jam more flights thru an already too-congested, precarious airport; whether your US Politician$ pandering to the airline$ who want more runway time....and now the skating coaches and skaters who are just too competitive to close the rinks for a day of mourning? contemplation? gratitude??
