    Somehow I was able to use a tana fish can without cutting it but I left it in one whole can. I sort of wasted the contents inside but they are fairly cheap. I have not tried it yet but I will tonight. For me it seems kind of dangerous using it during the day because I cant see the flame but at night I can see it well.

      add a little salt and the flame will burn a bit yellow.

    Ice is your friend. It can make assembly of parts pretty easy. Jon

    @FlatCatGear Yes a one can version would take longer to boil but would be a great simmer stove.

    One could make the stove out of a single can as you say. The time to reach a mature flame would strecth out and the time to boil would increase by a fair amount. Best regards - Jon

    i never would of thought of using ice to retain the shape while building, solves a lot of problems
