I just got a set on Alpine nannys with kids. They are so skiddish and gets out as if there's no fencing 😩

what kind of fencing is that? I am looking at getting a few alpine dairy goats and a buck.

This is 3.5 ft electric fencing. I believe it's typically called/marketed as poultry fencing, but we've used it for chickens, pigs, goats, & sheep and it's always worked great. We rotationally graze in the warmer months, so we like to have this on hand for mobility.

Do Alpines run awkwardly??? I have a goat - I was told she’s a pigmy - she’s smaller than your alpines, but maybe she’s from a smaller line?

No, I don't think they run awkwardly. Hmm.. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that a Pygmy goat is it's own specific breed, just like an Alpine or a Nubian or Nigerian Dwarf. So maybe your goat is a Pygmy. Or if you were told she was an Alpine, maybe she's a cross with something else, particularly a smaller breed like a pygmy or a Nigerian dwarf. Sometimes people will breed Nigerian Dwarfs to standard sizes goats (like Alpines) to achieve a smaller goat with a higher butterfat milk. I've heard these goats referred to as Mini Alpines (Nigerian Dwarf x Alpine).

How do I know it's a pure alphine

One way of knowing is from buying a "registered" goat. I'm not sure where you are located or what it is like outside of the United States, but in the US there are goat registries that track pedigrees. One registry is ADGA- American Dairy Goat Association. We bought goats that were registered with ADGA, so we know their ancestry and know they're French Alpines.
