The third generation of the iFi hip-dac is coming now in the new Titanium Shadow elegant finisch, two USB-C ports one for audio and the other for charging and a switch on the underside to activates iFi’s iEMatch technology, which is optimized for high-sensitivity headphones and earphones, making it especially beneficial for your in-ear monitors (IEMs).
Inside, the device boasts circuit enhancements, including new metal film capacitors for a better frequency response, an updated version of iFi’s GMT circuitry, coupled with a new crystal oscillator, further reduces phase noise.

I had the hip Dac 1 sold it and bought a go blu. Now have the hip Dac 3 on the way to compare. Does the HD3 have xspace as well or only x bass?
Just ordered for 235$ included tax and shipping. I hope it will suit my Fiio FT5 well. Many other cheaper alternatives. But so many good words about this one.

Owned the hip dac 2, gave the to my brother. Bought the hip dac 3 now, is it a good match with the Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro? Any other recommendations in same price class as 1990? Great review
Thx, off course I didn’t test all headphones with Hip Dac 3, you should ask yourself self this question, do i need a neutral amplifier for my headphones? If yes than the Hip Dac 3 is not for you, is not neutral but much more neutral compared to Hip Dac 2!

I need advice I can either buy hd660s2 and buy this ifi hip dac 3 later or should I go with hd650 and buy this dac/amp now considering the fact that if I go with hd660s2 I gotta go without a dedicated dac/amp for a while.
I will go personally with HD650 plus Hip-Dac3, and when you are ready you can sell the HD650 and upgrade with a better headphones. This will give you time to Experiment first, have fun and appreciate more the HD660S2 later!

@@zajko3113buy a 4.4 cable and use the balance output. The Hip Dac 3, will move the 650 with no problem

Never tested the ru7 but what i can tell you is that the EarMen Colibri review is coming in January, so maybe you can wait a little bit.Btw you can't go wrong with the Hip-Dac3, is simply extraordinary!

@lololololololol444 Never tested unfortunatly, but looking specs the BTR is less powerful and have a smaller battery.
I own the Fiio K7 desktop dac amp, i'm looking for something smaller, is the HD3 just as powerful and a decent replacement?
