Thank you for this reaction. All of them are part of the LGBTQ+ community and they recorded this song to honor the victims after the Orlando Pulse night club shooting.
I appreciate the enthusiasm you had for this powerful song and lyrics. You basically stated what everyone thinks watching this. Half of me is in tears because of how gorgeous the vocals are, and the other half is ready to tear down a wall by hand after listening to the message
This was dedicated to those who died in the Pulse massacre in Orlando. We lost a lot of friends and allies that day. This song was meant to help with the sorrow and outrage and it did. But everyone seems to leave this out of their reactions. It's sad. The whole point of the video is lost.

As music artists, we are given an incredible platform with which to reach the world. One of the most inspiring and rewarding aspects of our job is the ability to make a difference in people's lives. In keeping with the spirit of why we pursued our dreams as music artists, and the positive impact we aspired to have on others, we decided to make this video with some of our closest friends in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and all of our fans who love unconditionally and see no barriers. For anyone who has ever felt pride in who they are, and for anyone who has ever doubted the power of your own uniqueness, this video is for you. It warms our hearts to finally be able to share this with you!!

Mario Jose was PTX's tour guy and Scott did a cover of Bob Dylan's "BLOWING IN THE WIND" with Julia Harriman and Mario José which is mostly overlooked but I really like it and the song is as relevant today as it was in the Sixties.
Another recommendation: Scott Hoying and Mario José's version of "LOST ON YOU" to Hans Zimmer’s music of INCEPTION which is breath-taking as well will blow your mind with their (especially Scott's) raw emotions...

Did you happen to ever catch the lyric flip after Mary sings? The song starts with "I will not negotiate" and "victory is in my veins" ann then it goes to "you will not negotiate" and victory is in your veins". I don't know how many people catch the lyric, but I think we all feel that power of someone sharing that kind of strength and saying, "and guess what, you are these things too and you will rise with us. Don't forget it!" 🏳️🌈🖤

I've always been a little different when listening to music. I hear and love a song for the actual beat, music, harmonies. It's rare I know the words, or can sing to a song. I've watched "Rise" and people reacting to it at least thirty times I'm sure. This is the first time I've actually "heard" the words, because of the way you stopped and kept commenting. I love this song for the harmonies. If you ever question why you do reaction videos, etc, just know today you helped me hear the words. I'd like to thank you for that, because it has great lyrics and my brain would have never heard them without the way you reacted . Much appreciation man, thanks.
