Spiderman and blue beetle would absolutely be best friends. The scrab is like a venom. Protect their user and gives powers. Spiderman would completely understand this. (If venom was here or at least suit) also losing they fathers (uncle for Spiderman)
I think given the kind of hero Spider-Man is, it’d be likely that he’d have a rouge’s gallery similar to Flash. Where there would be a loose code between Spider-Man and them.
It would be really cool to see marvel and dc trade one character in the comics for a six month period- as long as they could have permanent ramifications
Spider-Man would also try to fix mr freeze and his wife’s disease. I’d imagine it would go down similar to Batman beyond with freeze saying “believe me … your the only one who cares”
There is no rivalry between DC and Marvel they deeply respect each other. It's Warner Brothers and Disney that need to set their rivalry aside. Marvel and DC have done many crossovers in the past.
Fun Fact: Batman and Spider-man did meet with each other 2 times where they fight Joker and Carnage in part 1 where Batman does not get along when Spider man enters in Gotham after helping him fights the Joker and Carnage he apologies for his behavior, the part 2 they fight against Kingpin and Ras Al Ghoul where this time Spider man and Batmn gets along very well that Spider man helps Batman climbs the snow mountain (Spider-man would be great friends with Nightwing/Dick Grayson and with Wally West Flash because of the great vibes of them making a joke after defeating a bad person while being a hero saving peoples life)
Also it really sounds to me like someone who's not very familiar or attached to the Marvel Universe overall. I know Spidey is often in his own little bubble, and he does work great as a mostly stand-alone character but he got lot of cool friends in the comics. I love his relationship to the Fantastic Four and The Hulk as the OG Marvel superheroes who crossed over so much over time, it's always fun to see him running into Deadpool or Daredevil I mean I'm not sure I would be willing to trade all this for a bromance with Nightwing and Superman.
Spider-Man is always my favorite superhero character and I would totally love to see him in the DC Universe. He would make a great Teen Titans member. I strongly hope you will do a Spider-man x Raven discussion in the future! I love the way you experiment with your character discussions!

Batman would be cautious and optimistic about Spider-Man, he would 100% make a contingency plan to stop him in case he goes rogue, maybe even studying all the spiders of the world to search for any other weaknesses regarding his biology. Batman would also take note of his Spider-Sense and look for ways to mitigate/misdirect his 6th sense, barely scratching the surface. And realizing how powerful it is to sense Darkseid a month in advance, before possibly passing out and waking up a week later. Superman would see a lot of himself. Probably even more so, considering Superman had to acclimate to his growing powers. While Spider-Man had his powers thrust upon him like fate. Possibly being called the Boy Scouts when teaming up. Wonder Woman, I feel would most likely find his joking attitude more disrespectful than Robin (Dick Grayson), that his jokes can cause civilians to be harmed because he’s not paying attention to who he’s fighting, which he would rebuttal by saying “If me talking causes even you to get distracted, then distracting bad buys from others and focusing on me is worth it. Also… they look so mad when annoyed.”
Blue Beetle would get a kick out of hearing Spideys villains call him bug. I imagine Spider-Man would be his favorite hero, possibly even asking the Scarab if he can change his colors to red and blue. Spidey would probably take him under his wing (depends if Spidey is a college boy) and teach his quips, fighting, and possibly bridging the gap between his Scarab and Jaime Reyes. (Post-Venom arc) Dick Grayson Robin/Nightwing would probably have unsaid competitions to reach building to building, quickest takedowns without their equipment, and maybe funny love triangles. Beast Boy would joke about Spidey being more Spider than man, and would also try to turn into him. Or joke how he can “definitely” talk to spiders around him. Cyborg’s alien tech would also tell him that Spider-Man is irradiated, and would constantly remind him of this fact. Cyborg would talk about sports and how fun it was, while Spidey would listen intently, and genuinely interested, considering he never really tried sports.
My headcannon is that his spider came from a subsidiary of LexCorp, OsCorp specifically the human genome labs where Norman’s private research into non-mammalian/animal dna testing. During a school trip/exhibition, an emergency shutdown was caused by some goons, and with enormous amounts of close calls happening, ultimately being bit by the spider, which was throughly trampled on by the goons taking his group hostage, being saved by either Superman, Flash, Firestorm, or any of the Batman family beside Batman.
Wonder Women would actually like spider-man more because of his joking attitude because it’s a good indicator of showing he’s not consumed by his power. It’s one of the reasons well respected figures like Captain America, Thor, and BP like him because those traits showed the human in him. I think the Superior Spider-man run did a good job showing why a peter who takes himself to seriously could be more of a problem than anything. Plus for some strange reason Older, strong women tend to be fond of Peter lol.
I don't see Spider-man getting adopted into any of the big "families" of superheroes in DC. Not because he wouldn't get along, heck him and Grayson would probably have similar vibes to Spidery and the Human Torch, but because he is so prone to crossovers he'd be one of those "glues" that helps tie everything together. I once made a joke that if he was a permanent resident of the DC universe he'd probably end up married not to MJ but a big-ish name in DC, but not like one of the main stream icons. Someone like Power Girl. Unfortunately some of the other fans started arguing exactly who it would be, because *in DC* that makes more sense than someone non-Super. Most of the time Supers marry ordinary people because it helps keep them grounded. Spider-man is about as grounded as a Superhero gets be default.
Spider-Man in the Teen Titans is my favorite crossover ever. Even IF its just from a fanfiction, idc its lit. 🔥 🔥 🔥 With how sad most DC characters backstories are, I also think that Peter would feel a lot less lonely with what he goes through. People like Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne would understand what its like to lose people like he did. Heck, even Raven would know what its like to feel like a danger to people and ruin everything you touch, giving him someone who even understands his insecurities about his self image. So, yeah, if I'm being honest, he would probably be more understood by most DC characters as a whole, possibly even more so than the Marvel characters do.
The main problem and I think James Gunn put it best is that DC's main superheroes, Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman, Flash, Green Lantern are proto-gods and ideologues, where as Marvel, and Spider-Man in particular are humans beings who happen to have powers and abilities that force them to make challenging decisions and live up to ideals that they do not always live up to. Spider-Man's best stories come from moments where he struggled or failed to do the right thing, and with exceptions, these are not stories that would told for characters like Batman, Superman or Wonderwoman.
If spider-man was in DC his close friends would be Nightwing, Wally, Static, Superman, Starfire, Shazam, and Beastboy. His Enemies would be Livewire, Bane, Volcana, Deathstroke, Captain Cold, Mammoth, Dr. Light, Ra Al Ghul, Red Lion, Silver Banshee. His love interest would be Batgirl, Supergirl, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Donna Troy.
If Spider-Man was in the DCU, he'd DEFINITELY have at least one story with Booster Gold, since they have polar-opposite reasons for getting into heroics. I'm not sure if he'd get along with Booster the way he does Human Torch or if Gold would always kinda rub him the wrong way despite knowing Booster isn't a creep and being able to banter with him...Actually, that sounds like Spidey's friendship with Torch, heheheheheh! He could also commiserate with Barry Allen about having a villain who's just WEIRDLY obsessed with you...Peter might even feel a bit better knowing that as many clones as Norman might be able to use to screw with him, he at least can't go back in time and change his childhood the way Thawne did with Barry.
@gamemstr0000 I love Stan Lee too--I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him--but he did write these characters to be able to be taken over by creatives after he, Ditko, Kirby, etc were done. The 90s let the marketing department call too many shots and some stories today don't even like their own history, but I think most of the comics after The Man's tenure did right by him and his characters, so dabbling with what Marvel and DC interactions could be like doesn't seem opposed to how Mr. Lieber made these heroes, so long as nobody is acting out of character just to make someone else look better or worse.
Peter doesnt need batman to upgrade his suit. Peter is way smarter than bruce, a better inventor (doesn't even have the money bruce has and his inventions are spectacular), bruce's money would only make his tech look better and made of better materials. Peter as an adult could make selena kyle swoon. As a kid, i think he and Barbara gordon would hit off (red head). Him and supes would have a mentor relationship. Bruce and peter dont have similar ideals other than not killing but the younger bat family would like him minus damien. Green lantern and aquaman would hate him sinply for pete's quips. Wonderwoman would adore him. I think shed take a mom like role for him or just another menotr like clark to pete.
Spider-Man and Batman would work more than Stark due to a personal level. Batman has a soft spot for kids who suffered tragedy, and Spidey arguably suffered WAY more than Bats. Peter and Dick sounds like a good friendship though I fear that they might be in a love triangle with Barbara. But if Dick is with Starfire then I think Peter and Barbara would be so good together, as they both had lousy love lives. Spidey’s abilities would mesh well with Batgirl’s Bat training. But I think Peter has better lady options in DC than in Marvel.
I firmly believe that Barbara would be his "MJ". I feel like she takes some things from MJ and Gwen, adding that she is a girl who can take care of herself and *Boom* an ideal partner. Plus, she's a redhead.
You could pit him against Black Spider. I think Spider-Man (Miles Morales) would be better with the Teen Titans. Peter should be with the Justice League straight up.
I mean... The part I'm iffy about would be that... Marvel people are the worst they will think Spider-Man is a menace if Jameson yells loud enough, they will discriminate mutants senselessly and all of this is kind of a quirk of the Marvel Universe that fits into this specific mold. Hulk was the most popular Marvel character at one point and the humans of the Marvel univers hate on him all the time too! I get wanting Spidey to interact with all those cool characters but I don't know if that part were he's quite the unpopular hero would work in this universe. I mean... he's spider-themed and everyone unfairly hates on spiders it would be a shame to lose this core idea in translation.
I honestly think that part of the appeal of putting Pete in DC is getting him away from Marvel’s toxicity. For all that DC is seen as darker and grittier than Marvel, they’re generally a lot less discriminatory than Marvel’s people.
@@LetsTalkComicsHQ OK. There are 3 bad endings in Batman: Dark Tomorrow. So not only would Spider-Man have to survive this game, but also stop Ra's in all three endings. Thanks for liking and commenting, btw.
2 minutes in and I might have to disagree with ya. If we’re talking about a teenage Spidey from the Ditko era, he would either hate the Titans or butt heads with them like he did the Avengers and the Fantastic 4. A long forgotten trait of Peter was that he was a loner and a hothead and had a very biting sense of humor that could rub people the wrong way. So I highly doubt Peter and Dick Grayson would get along at first. They might grow to like each other like Johnny and Peter, but there would be friction. Remember, Peter wasn’t exactly a team player.

Spiderman and blue beetle would absolutely be best friends. The scrab is like a venom. Protect their user and gives powers. Spiderman would completely understand this. (If venom was here or at least suit) also losing they fathers (uncle for Spiderman)

Spiderman really is a successful Hero in Franchise history
Came from a rejected concept back in old days
To become the Most Well known and Successful Hero in the Literature
From undesirable to Undeniable
Simple answer SIDEWAYS *DC VERSION OF SPIDER-MAN*
Batman would be cautious and optimistic about Spider-Man, he would 100% make a contingency plan to stop him in case he goes rogue, maybe even studying all the spiders of the world to search for any other weaknesses regarding his biology.
(Post-Venom arc)
Dick Grayson Robin/Nightwing would probably have unsaid competitions to reach building to building, quickest takedowns without their equipment, and maybe funny love triangles.
Also spiderman would 100% try to cure mr freeze and his wife
@@billyboleson2830Like Batman does
I don't see Spider-man getting adopted into any of the big "families" of superheroes in DC.

With how sad most DC characters backstories are, I also think that Peter would feel a lot less lonely with what he goes through.
Wrong Marvel Universe only respect the legend's Stan Lee vision ...
Spideies the most underrated and MOST hard-knocked hero
The main problem and I think James Gunn put it best is that DC's main superheroes, Superman, Batman, Wonderwoman, Flash, Green Lantern are proto-gods and ideologues, where as Marvel, and Spider-Man in particular are humans beings who happen to have powers and abilities that force them to make challenging decisions and live up to ideals that they do not always live up to. Spider-Man's best stories come from moments where he struggled or failed to do the right thing, and with exceptions, these are not stories that would told for characters like Batman, Superman or Wonderwoman.

I get wanting Spidey to interact with all those cool characters but I don't know if that part were he's quite the unpopular hero would work in this universe.
