In this video we dive into the idea of What if Spiderman Was in Injustice Gods Among Us, where we are throwing are friendly neighborhood spiderman into the world of DC but not just any world, a world involving an evil superman, a regime and an insurgency led by Batman trying to stop him. Spiderman has also met batman, joker, and the entire justice league in comics before. So depending on if the game treats those encounters as canon or not, it could make a huge difference as well.
Spider man could also work as great constrast to Injustice Superman, since they both driven by guilt over the loss of loved one and have to deal with their own insecurites. What separates is the way they handle their grief: Peter still takes responsability for his actions while Superman does the opposite, refusing to acknowloge his flaws and blaming others (in particular Batman) for his problems.
The best exemple of this is how Peter is a good hero despite having to constantly deal with Jameson criticisim and NY distrust of him, while Injustice Superman, in the moment he kills Luthor and discovers that people are afraid of him, just decides to destroy his own city, lashing out on those who critize him.
Imagine if we got an injustice 3 and Spider-Man was our guest character. It’s highly unlikely it would happen but that would be awesome.

Spider-man's battle iq and quick thinking is very good
To consider some similarities between Injustice and Civil War, if its based in the Comic, its likely that Spiderman joins to the Superman Regine in the beginning, to think that the Man of Steel is protecting better the world.
But once that Spidey see the tyraniccal and darker side of Superman, he will joins to Batman Insurgency, to stop the tyranny of Superman.
But doesn't he kills the villains before he kills heroes as well ether way? That's very different from Iron man, who is capturing a lot of criminals, while making the identities of all the heroes public, all while being supported by the government and his money. But he has NOT killed anyone whole this is happening.
Superman not only seems to have taken over the government when it comes to the law, he technically took the funding Batman gave and uses it to further his plans. All while killing supervillains without giving them a chance unless they join his cause. They're all being threatened to work for him for the most part.
@@Alexdestiny21 Still, Iron man did several shady things during the events of Civil War, like hired his own villain gallery to hunt down the rogue heroes, created a clone of Thor to work as his enforcer, and be constantly spying to his own allies through bugs and hidden cameras, like within Iron Spider armor of Spiderman, showing a lack of respect for the privacy of his allies.
Leaving clear that even if Iron man wasn't killing actively, he wasn't above to crosses several lines during Civil War, making him no better than Superman of Regime, at least in the Comic version.
And regarding Spiderman, just like Iron man, he could be unaware about the harsher side of Superman in the beginning, like kill criminals and enforcer a dictatorial regime, making that Spidey supports him only in the beginning, until that he discover the truth, and Spiderman defects to Batman's side.
@@josecuestas7246how would he be unaware, I'm pretty sure sups killing criminals in the beginning was already like wide spread/common knowledge after that, at best he'd be on the side for a day especially if you add all the shit that went down in the comic
@@XRaiden1 Well, even if the part in that Superman is killing criminals won't be overlooked, Spidey could still accept to work with them, albeit with an uneasy attitude, after see the society crime-free that Superman made with his regime, making him think that Superman is doing a good job, despite to his controversial ideologies, at least until Spidey learn about the tyrannical side of the Regime, that makes them capable to opress the people and silence any opposition, even from other heroes. leading him to sunder his alliance with Superman.
And the reason to not work inmediately with Batman insurgency, its because Spidey could think that they are criminal scum, for the propaganda of the Regime, making him need a time to discover that they are simply a rebellion against this dictatorship.
Adding that regarding to the controversies of the Regime of Superman, particulary about Spiderman working for them in the beginning, in Marvel, Spiderman showed be willing to work for Iron man, despite to the some controversial aspects, particulary accept unsmaking himself, a decision that will implies endanger his family, showing that Peter is capable to consider this kind of choices, at least in the beginning, needing a while to learn the full scale of the negative aspects to fully understand that he was taking the wrong choice, a notable flaw of Spiderman, making him capable to sides with Superman and his Regime in the beginning, and after defects to Batman.

An aspect that leads him to sides inmediately to the side of Iron man, despite to the implications of this choice, particulary accept surrender his secret identity. Adding that he need a lot time to understand the shady and questionables actions of Iron man, before to defects Captain America side.
Making me think that he could sides with Superman in the beginning, and after defect to Batman after learn the truth about the Regime.
Wonder Woman could plausibly know A Thor, but not the same Thor Spider-Man knew.
Main Wonder Woman and superman have fought in a 1000 year war alongside dc Thor, so if injustice has similar events…
To be honest I don’t really see Spidey joining either Batman or Superman. i can see him being neutral similar to how Red Hood was in Injustice 2’s ending where he would just help the people. Plus the last time Spidey was in a Super hero conflict involving two sides in the comics it didn’t end well. Especially since it led to One More Day not to mention the Second one with Captain Marvel which led to Miles almost getting arrested

In Injustice, literally the only reason Batman survived for so long was because he used to be Superman's friend. Superman pleaded for Bruce to join him in his quest and didn't want to kill him immediately which allowed him to live long enough to summon the alternate Justice League.
Spider-Man doesn't have that plot armour. There's no reason that Superman doesn't kill him immediately.
I he manages to survive somehow personally I don't think Spider-Man would join either side. Superman's side is killing people which he would disagree with. And Batman's side is actively working with the mass murderer who started this mess in the first place (Harley Quinn).

They don't have any excuse for keeping her free because at first their excuse was that "Superman would kill her if he found her" which I agree with. But as soon as he was defeated they should've locked her ass up.
The fact that they not only don't do that, but in Injustice 2 Batman straight up gives her the controls to Brother Eye is baffling.

Sure, I'd love to see that. I honestly don't know how Spider-Man changes the plot there, although for continuity purposes, it'd be better in my view if it's the same Spider-Man who helped take down the Regime rather than revisiting Spider-Man going in blind.

Think about it. The entire plot of the injustice games hinges upon interdimensional travel and bringing people from a different world to help save the current one in crisis. Which is a subject that, post spiderverse, Pete would be intimately familiar with and a veritable expert in the navigation of.

Spidey with the kryptonian pill would be super broken, if it can take average man Alfred and make him strong enough to overpower and physically beat Superman into a bloody crater, Spidey would probably kill Superman rather easily given his rather insane strength to begin with.
I see Spider-Man joining Batman and standing against Superman, I can even see Batman wanting to give Spidey the pill seeing him as physically someone who would match up to Superman with the pill in his system

Spiderman would most likely join Batman's resistance, and he would be a big assets for them.
But in a 1 vs 1 fight, he stands 0 chances, zero, against Superman, Shazam or Wonder Woman. Sooner than later, he would be subdued and imprisoned or killed by them.
Hell, even Green Latern and Flash could defeat Spidey. Flash is weaker than Spidey, but he's so fast that he would be hitting him non-stop, and Spiderman's spider sense wouldn't even work that fast.

In-game explanation tells us that they could. Since there's a pill that allows anyone who takes it to be on par against them in terms of endurance and strengt.
Supposedly, this is why the resistance has been able to stand against the regime for as long as they did.
Also keep in mind this is a fighting game, anyone could beat anyone anyways.

But Batman doesn't fight them in 1 vs 1 case, and he's cunning enough to avoid direct engagement with them. In the comic, they show that Superman for a time doesn't want to kill Batman, but subdue him, surrender him. After all, they were besties for a long time.

Technically speaking, not many of the characters that appear in the game should be able to survive Superman. But the In-game excuse is that there's a pill that allows them to be on equal footing to Superman supposedly.
This is a fighting game after all, so you shouldn't really apply the logic of: this wouldn't happen because canon.
