Actually, Alm can tank some of the hits that has Null-C skills thanks to Remote Sparrow. I'm planning to have that on my L!Alm because I already gave him Atk/Spd Hexblade.
Another very underrated skill on him is Flashing Blade 4. Especially on Catriaballs FB can be kinda nuts. It completely removes the need for CD reduction and opens up the C Slot for something like Atk/Spd Oath, which in theory also gives more stats than something like Atk/Spd Finish or Hexblade. And it also allows him to trigger Lunar Flash twice during one round of combat and gives him better mobility in the case Catria gets hit by Elimine and doesn't have Guidance 4. Lastly it also allows him to get around Scowl effects. Although I'd probably try to go for Finish or Hexblade over FB4, since they are just higher value and there's always the FB seal as a plan B. Although I generally found better results with FB4 in the A Slot. Also I really love the idea of putting F!Maria and L!Alm on the same team. It kinda removes the need to run Watersweep in the B Slot. Haven't really thought of that yet. I'll probably try it out next season and see how it does.
Well, you convinced me to us L!Alm a bit more. But I still see a forma soul going to the Spring Delthea since she fills a blue cavalry role that my barracks currently lack while the premium skills on L!Alm would "just" make him better at what he already does well. Great video, Joel. Thanks!

I feel like Alm will start aging again, especially with new Armors skills we have gotten, the scowl effect, and speed creep being pushed even more. Though, his biggest advantage is the fact we don’t have drive NCD, but once we do it will definitely rank his performance quite a bit
I've currently got Atk/Spd Unity, Escape Route 4, and Atk/Spd Oath 4 on my Forma Alm. I'm hoping I can get Atk/Spd Hexblade before time runs out and hopefully picking up a fun weapon too. I'm sticking with Escape Route 4 over anything else because honestly the use cases for Seal Spd 4 over Lull Spd/Def or Watersweep are just too small and Escape Route 4 is just such a fun skill.

Also, this is a very specific/niche nitpick criticism on your videos: I am neurodivergent and some audio things really grate me more than the average person, in particular mouth noises, and I have a hard time ignoring how your audio picks up what I assume is lip smacking noises as you speak. I'm not sure if this is an audio mixing thing or lack of dedicated pop-filter, and it is more noticeable on some videos than others, but especially recently. This is a a non-issue but figured I'd mention it just in case there are more weirdos like me watching.
A/S oath4 is good, but I aside from scoring, I think CFeud has better value (and rarer since it's not tradeable with toilet paper), especially with Maria and co. around, and also, because of recent trend of "use your stats agaisnt you" which makes aoth4 a net -3 to stats instead
I agree with the oath 4 over TP4 just because he already has TP3 which does the job well enough.... However I'm curious as to which situations finish is beneficial over the shiny new hexblade... I feel like hexblade may be a tad over hyped because not many saviors have extremely lopsided bulk, but at the same time there's notables like brave Dimitri, bector, etc.
So excited to deck out my +10 L!Alm with a full set of new skills. I hadn't considered canto control, but might make that my target for the C tbh. I already have oath 4 on him, so i was just going to go with times pulse 4, but canto control for SD sounds pretty great as hit and run protection (especially on someone who will probably just annihilate any unit that gets caught in his range because of it). Even if I was mainly watching this video to reaffirm how awesome L!Alm was still got something out of it, so thats a massive dub!

Can confirm, have a max invested brave alm, and he slaps cheeks, I gave him watersweep, its nice to have a sneaky nuke that is really hard to retaliate against, ATK/SPD Ideal 4 is so...ideal, paired with ATK/SPD OATH 4 is so sweet! I just use Nah for the accelerated special.
Now I'm in conflict. I WAS going to go for Forma Alm because I'd love to add to my Legendary Hero catalog, but now that I know Roy will be in August's... I might save my Forma for a Godsword build for him!

I've got a +10 L!Alm and +10 L!Leif, but only one forma soul. Do you have a preview of the optimal L!Leif recommendations for AR usage? I'm currently running Atk/Def Catch 4, Lull Atk/Def 3, Def Smoke 3, and Atk/Def Catch 3 seal for L!Leif. For arena I switch out the B slot for S Drink.
As much as I want to get Luther for 10+ merge projects or the certification legendary Alm, I need to be considerable with the units we have at the moment. Additionally, I’m down to my last forma soul and will be unlikely for them to send another freebie before the starting of next year. Given how dangerous and down the drain the meta is happening, Luthier isn’t stronger enough as a green unit to fare against units with those green skills. Alm might have a fair chance at mind though I might skipped him in favor or legendary Julia for the type advantage.

A!Fjorm is amazing as long as you can speed stack her. It's just getting harder and harder to do. I still use her regularly in anima season.

Very good points. Maria will be a great upgrade over Ymir, with whom I ran Alm/Veronica on ARD before. Unless the enemy has NullC I suppose

I use Keynote to create the assets and edit it with Final Cut Pro. What do you normally use?

if you're using L!Alm as a tank buster, finish is better.
if you're using him against nukes like B!Seliph for example, hexblade is better
Hexblade is a better match up vs. Duo Askr if you run Watersweep and NFU.

Whatcha think of Seal Def 4 over Spd? That’s what I was leaning towards…
it really depends on the targets you're after. for slower amors, seal def is definitely better.
