Your SOPs are constructed for Qualitative research. You need to paraphrase them. The last SOP is gearing towards correlation / looking into relationships. You need to fix your SOPs first to really have a suitable statistical tool
Getting the median or mode is more appropriate since likert scale is an example of ordinal data. How can you subtract categorical variable? You can use mean if you just want the verbal interpretation of the ordinal data. Lastly. Pearson R and T-test are use in numerical variables.

Analysis of qualitative output includes coding and knowing the common theme of responses. SOP 4 -correlational stat tool. Can be pearson r.

Hello. At 10.30 I am not really sure if you can find the mean of the ordinal data like that. Because those numbers of whom you took the mean are just codify representation of opinions (strongly agree, agree, neutral etc.) so we dont know if strongly disagree and disagree have the same distance as agree and strongle agree. The central tendency for non-parametirc ordinal data like this can be median and not mean. Could you please clarify on that? Thanks

Meron po akong dalawang product na ipinag-cocompare in terms of: a) characteristic 1, b) characteristic 2, c) characteristic 3 and ni-rate po ng respondents itong mga characteristics na ito using likert scale. As far as I know po t-test po ang ginagamit para ma-compute yung significant difference kapag may dalawang variable na pinagcocompare, tama po ba? As far as I know, you should not use pearson correlation coefficient to analyze the correlation between ordinal and interval variables. Please refer to statistical books and published articles.

It will depend on what you want to find out in your study. If your objective is to know if there is a significant diff between pre and post survey. You can compare the total score of pre survey vs total score of post survey of each respondent.

SOP1 - frequency count /% SOP2- likert scale SOP3 - to correlate, 2 variables must have values. For gender, civil status and educational attainment, no values assigned, you can have a comparison of these variables instead. For socioeconomic status, if there will be values like salary for a year / month, correlation is possible

SOP1 and 2 a likert scale indeed can be a good tool. Yes, weighted mean can be used. I have a video on how to interpret likert scale. So if you will have these 3 SOPs, your research is just a descriptive research. None of your SOPs will need any other statistical tool

This is also descriptive analysis SOP 4 - pearson r or spearman SOP 5 - it depends on the effects that you will be comparing. If there are 2 effects use ttest. I am assuming that you used a likert scale for your SOP2. If you did. You can use Pearson R. Use the likert scale mean of each respondents and their respective age. BTW, what is the age range?

Getting the median or mode is more appropriate since likert scale is an example of ordinal data. How can you subtract categorical variable? You can use mean if you just want the verbal interpretation of the ordinal data. Lastly. Pearson R and T-test are use in numerical variables.

Hello. At 10.30 I am not really sure if you can find the mean of the ordinal data like that. Because those numbers of whom you took the mean are just codify representation of opinions (strongly agree, agree, neutral etc.) so we dont know if strongly disagree and disagree have the same distance as agree and strongle agree. The central tendency for non-parametirc ordinal data like this can be median and not mean. Could you please clarify on that? Thanks

Meron po akong dalawang product na ipinag-cocompare in terms of: a) characteristic 1, b) characteristic 2, c) characteristic 3
and ni-rate po ng respondents itong mga characteristics na ito using likert scale.
As far as I know po t-test po ang ginagamit para ma-compute yung significant difference kapag may dalawang variable na pinagcocompare, tama po ba?
However naguguluhan po ako since need ko i-compare yung dalawang product sa 3 characteristics & that would give me 3 weighted means per product. Pano po kaya yun, ano pong next step? 😅 Unsure po kasi ako kung anong formula ng t-test ang gagamitin.

As far as I know, you should not use pearson correlation coefficient to analyze the correlation between ordinal and interval variables. Please refer to statistical books and published articles.

It will depend on what you want to find out in your study.
If your objective is to know if there is a significant diff between pre and post survey. You can compare the total score of pre survey vs total score of post survey of each respondent.

What is the reasoning for using Pearson R versus Spearman’s rank?

Spearman for ordinal
Likert scale is treated as interval scale but it is also an ordinal scale
is it acceptable if the computed p-value from the t-test has E-? huhuhu or does it mean something wrong on computation process?
It is acceptable for the computed p-value from a t-test to have E- notation (scientific notation), which is a way of expressing very large or very small numbers in a compact and standardized way.
Sometimes, when the sample size is large or the effect size is very small, the p-value can be extremely small, resulting in a very large or very small number in decimal notation. In such cases, the p-value can be expressed in E- notation to make it easier to read and compare with the significance level.
For example, a p-value of 0.0000000001 can be expressed as 1E-10, which means 1 multiplied by 10 to the power of -10. This p-value indicates that the observed results are statistically significant at a very high level of confidence.

This is an elaborated example because in some research, you might need individual respondents mean. Some research you might need the mean of each questions. Some research, you might need both. Just compute the one you need in your research
your data is ordinal. is it wise to use mean and not the median or mode? Likert-type data is ordinal data. (Question and Questionnaire Design Jon A. Krosnick and Stanley Presser)
You can use likert data as continuous data as long as certain conditions are met. Most student research papers do so.

Na hindi sila pwedeng i average and will use a parametric test?. Please help po. Salamat. kasi ito yong palaging warning ng mga statistician. hello, can we correlate marketing strategies to sales?
for example:
marketing strategies (weighted mean: 3.5, agree) and sales is open ended question (10,500 PHP)
correlate:

or if it is not possible, what alternative can I use? can we do 3.5 for weighted mean, and rating? like 1 is the representation of 10,000 PHP? so instead, we will correlate, 3.5 to 1?

I am assuming that you used a likert scale for your SOP2. If you did. You can use Pearson R. Use the likert scale mean of each respondents and their respective age.

You are asking on how you can get the grades of your respondents? You can get it from the registrar of their institution.
