I feel this to my bones. My oldest is a senior this year, what do I want to teach him before he’s done? So many many things, none of which come from a textbook. I want to teach him all the things I still wish I knew, hope to trust God when people let you down, how to decide what’s important in life and let the rest go, how to savor the time you are in right now. And so many more. ❤
I love how no-nonsense you are about tossing books in the trash…I always him-n-haul about letting go and could we use it, where to let it go to.

Maybe a bench that has storage inside for the shoes. And then a nice piece of furniture to “hide” the books and clutter to the eyes if that’s what you’re looking for 😊❤

I totally understand how you are feeling. My two oldest just graduated high school. The one got a job in her career field and is excited the other is looking but still working. Time goes by so fast. It has definitely had me leading in more towards Christ and praying over them and what he has for them. It’s also made me pause and be slower with my younger children and just soak it all in.❤
Yes, my 10th grader is moving into a 25 hour plus per week Ballet Company. So this is an adjustment letting go
I love your heart! I have 2 girls and 2 boys my girls are older 18 and 13 and my boys are 10 and 2. I am literally in all the phases of parenthood. I need all the organization tips and ideas!❤
I've got the opposite struggle with my oldest. At 16, he does not want anything to do with growing up. He has no motivation to get his driver's license. He wants a job but doesn't want to put in the effort it takes to get hired. I still have to hold his hand to make sure he does his school work. It's so frustrating.

Hahaha! 😊 I'm so glad you feel me on this! It is totally life, right?! I love it, but truly... it's not that hard to put things back where they go! Hahahahaa! 🤪
I ended up buying the Denison for my 9th grader. Thank you for sharing! We love CTC, but I think the teacher going through the lesson with my student will be very beneficial. He liked the idea as well! 🙏 again, thank you!
A 5th, a 4th twin 1st graders and a 6 month old grandbaby. My two oldest are 25 and 20 all done with those two home education.....❤
Oh yes! Almost like a buffet table! They are selling them on FB Market place all the time. You could chalk it and it would look so cute! They hold a ton of stuff. That’s where my mom would always put our homeschooling stuff and now I do too!

Watching you pull out old gather round units....do you keep all the completed student workbooks or pick out some of the more meaningful worksheets or just chuck them completely?

Learn Math Fast was one a friend gave to me! We never actually used it. It was used previously, and I wanted to check it out before they tossed it. So, we never used it, but I got a hands-on feel to the layout, etc! ❤️

What are your thoughts of explode the code? I have a kid who is dyslexic. He has a tutor but it's gotten too expensive
Hi there! I am a homeschool mom to four kiddos and two of them are dyslexic, one very significantly. We have used all 8 of The Explode the Code books over the years and they were immensely helpful and valuable to us and for my dyslexic kiddos! I also highly recommend Reading Eggs, specifically the Fast Phonics program they offer!
