I was seriously looking for a DAP in price range up to 1000$ but considering I'm not really that much of a portable user R4 is my reasonable option, it has got many tweaking options and enough power for IEM's. Even if it will be not enough for my IEM's I can always sell it and buy lets say shanling m5 ultra
I got the Hiby R4 a while back and really like it. I have very limited experience with DAPs as well but it seems to represent awesome value for the price. Thank you for another great review! 👍
@@DJHaworth didn't actually compare the Ace and R1, since they're a pretty different driver configuration. I'd say I liked the QDC Superior a little more. A little more resolving, and punchy bass.
I also have the Hiby R4. The build quality is lovely and sounds amazing. Can't go wrong for $249. It has power too.
