What an absolutely incredible little 2 day camping trip that was. I hope you enjoy it and it inspires just one person to get out and enjoy the mountains. Happy to answer any questions on the route, the views, the filming equipment or anything else. Leave a comment. I hung a few of the shots more than usual, my content was already too slow for YOuTuBe 🤣 so hopefully this slower pace doesn’t upset the viewing. I like it this way. Looks great on a 4K telly if you have the technology. Cheers all. Chris www.chrishomer.uk

Good pitch you had there, nice blue sky at times for contrast in colours and a subzero camp. The scenery was stunning so wild and barren. Thanks for sharing atb Taff 🤠👊
Thank you! I agree. I was just looking back at some clips from the same place in the summer. It’s crazy. I ought to do a summer to winter transition thingymajigga
Good thanks mate, brilliant view isn’t it. Training, yep, so so. Gotta be done hasn’t it. Still just doing the 4 lifts, usually every week, occasional pull ups. Basic, but still love it. That’s it for life now mate, at least I hope so. If I can keep pushing some semi-decent numbers for a couple of decades I’ll be more than happy. Currently cutting some weight. Got up to 18st 8lb!!! I climbed this here mountain at that weight at the end of last year. Was a killer! When I first got into climbing mountains I was 12st. So I felt that 6st 8lb!!! It’s the equivalent of the old 12st chap climbing up with a 42KG weight on his back. Bonkers. Anyways. Just trimming up a bit. I prefer being closer to 18st than the old stick boy at 12st 🤣 Hope all good for you and yours, I see what you’re upto on IG

Waffling here, anyway man thanks for the upload, looks amazing. Cheers.
Great images and editing. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Not often get those conditions being close to the coast. Interesting seeing the line of torches coming off the mountain during your time lapse. I wonder how many people dont take them at this time of year and get into problems?
Thank you! Its always cool to watch that at night. The timelapse I included in this video has a bit of long exposure surrealism going on though, the longer version (not in the video) is different. I’ll share it somewhere. Great to see though. I’d have thought most do, but you never know do you?
Mate the filming & pace suit's me I really appreciate these kind of videos, you capture the mountains so well the viewer gets a real sense of feeling. Hi Chris, this is an amazing video. I'm thinking of camping in the same area in December, maybe looping around from Pen yr Ole Wen to Carnedd Llewelyn and spending night 2 at Ffynnon Llugwy. For the first night I had planned to camp at Ffynnon Lloer because I feared it might be too windy up near the summit of Pen Yr Ole Wen. But your campsite looks amazing and very sheltered. So I'm v tempted to climb up to Pen Yr Ole Wen before camping. Are there many sheltered bits up at the tip? Was your pitch after the short scramble which I think is part of the ascent? Thanks again....
