This time Inkopolis is on the verge of Chaos due to an Octoling invasion. While the good Octolings tries to assure the Inkling that they’re on their side! Then a new Agent comes find Marina, Cuttlefish, Callie, Marie, Agents 3,4 and 8 asking them to join the Squidbeak Splatoon to stop the madness! Then they would go back down to the Deep Sea Metro, fighting Octarians along the way. Then upon reaching the last level, Off the Hook and Squid Sisters become brainwash! But somehow the player doesn’t and has to fight everyone using EVERY specials like Agent 3! After defeating DJ Octavio, they use his giant robotic armor music battle suit thing and go back to Inkopolis. From there Inklings and Octolings are trying to fight the Octarians but then they see YOU come out and play Calamari Inkantation Then they all become good and have a huge party in Inkopolis.
I think the saddest part about Tidal Rush is the fact that Callie and Marie are trying to sing over each other and the songs go perfectly together... especially when you hear bomb rush blush playing in the background while Marie is singing Tide goes out, or when its reversed. If you really thing about the storylines of Splatoon and the squid sisters then selves it's kinda depressing.

Ah!! This was one of the first (if not *the* first) things relating to Splatoon I'd actually listened to! I ended up checking out more of Splatoon's music and it kinda helped me acknowledge the game. Now it's probably my favorite game in general, funny how that works!

I know it's pointing out the obvious at this point, but... the name "tidal rush" has grown so much on me. It has such a beautiful meaning, especially when you consider what follows. Callie is upbeat and flirty and silly. Of course her theme would be "bomb rush blush". But Marie is mellow, quiet, still fun, but so much of a contrast to her wild counterpart. So her theme is named "tide goes out" in somewhat of the vain to that of a lament. Yet the song that remixes the two into one, is a brutal clash of cousins who were once close as can be. "Tidal rush". As in, rip tide? A violent clash between elements that usually work well together? I don't know if that was intentional subtlety or a coincidence. But either way, I Love that this song leads into the Heavenly melody known as "calamari inkantation". It's the Heavens rejoicing at two inseparable friends being reunited.
