I'm so glad I found these videos, you're the only one I've seen using steel plugs to stretch. I'm planning to use them too, I've already ordered some from 1.6mm to 3mm (I was pierced at 1.2mm) along with some jojoba oil. Are you still at 8mm? I'm trying to decide between 6mm and 8mm for my goal size. My lobes are smaller than yours and mostly attached (just a small part isn't attached) so im wondering if 8mm will look too big, idk. It'll take me a while to even get to 6mm so I have time to decide. If you're still stretching, I hope you'll continue posting these. If not, maybe a plug haul/plug collection video? This is so exciting :)
It had to be replaced by another jeweler! I was planning on making another video to explain how it was resolved but time escaped me 😂 I'll try to prioritize that this year!
It‘s been so long that I‘ve seen a stretching video. I actually stretched to 9mm last summer, but decided to take them out and wear normal earrings again. That only lasted for 2 months. I‘m already back at 8.0mm and 7.0mm 🫣 It‘s so addicting. You just can‘t life without them. Your lobes also look amazing and really healthy. Also congrats on your engagement 🖤
I have a question about dead stretching. I'm currently at 8mm and I want to eventually get to 10mm. Do I start off by getting a glass plug in my current 8mm size and wear it for a while? And then when my ears feel ready I insert a 9mm plug? Am I understanding this right?
yes! the size you're at will slowly stretch a bit every day until you can easily put the next size up on. if you're using the stretch it kit, you can go up to 8.5 or just wait until you can put a 9 in
Hello im just starting ! Im scared but dedicated. For my bday i got the TAPER/PLUG metal set from bodyartforms. I have long thick hair so only have time to wash it once a week! So im using 14g in ONE ear for a start. So far so good... goimg to wait 1 month heal time. Im using SEA SALT warm water to clean my ears and the piercing and 70% alcohol for piercing . And ear balm to put back the plug. Im scared of not doing it right. Im using common sense . But im wondering how you started out and your routine !? Did u clean or remove ur plugs every morning ? Its frustrating cause the plug is a shirt metal with two sides of rubber rings which slid off last night (i found it!) But how did you deal with sleeping and healing!??? Thank you for this video!!!
totally normal to be nervous about the process! I usually wait 2 months between stretches and am using a dead stretching kit. I have a few videos in my ear stretching playlist about the difference between that and tapers! I don't touch them the first few days after stretching then I start cleaning nightly with just water and massage them with vitamin e or jojoba oil. that's it! nothing changes about when I sleep, though. good luck with it!

yes! the size you're at will slowly stretch a bit every day until you can easily put the next size up on. if you're using the stretch it kit, you can go up to 8.5 or just wait until you can put a 9 in
