I don't know what it is, but it seems there are some people that seem to think they have to be the last one to yell or scream before the player serves. Ridiculous.
The player's reaction can fuel the obnoxious fans, every venue has them. Ignore them, suck it up, play your best and WIN. That's the best reaction and the best revenge.
Yes they are. As a matter of fact, the Wimbledon and French Open crowds are the worst in all of tennis.

The French fans are quite obnoxious, they make you think they are at a soccer match instead of tennis. Poor Jannik Sinner had to keep his composure when playing against Moutet, they were getting really rowdy!

yes, they are the worst! I thought the New York fans were the worst, but now think they may be the loudest, the French fans almost can't be shut up, even by the umpires! I think you need to start ejecting the most obnoxious ones who believe they can interrup play at any time! i.e. when a player is tossing the ball to serve; this is extremely rude and would equate to someone yelling at a golfer just as he was striking a putt.
I think the real question is "are Tennis players prima donnas?"
