Tipp: If you have time and its nearby, drop your samples(especially the super samples) on the extract pad to be picked up once the pelican landed. That way you cant lose them.
I REALLY do hope they let us be able to call in Strats from Mech in the future. Cause you could do that in HD1 & it was by far the most versatile feature of the First Galactic War EXOs.
The laser cannon can deal with the Strider walkers from the front plate, just takes a bit of time. Grenades also take them down easy. Love seeing more Helldivers 2 from you

Mechs were worth it but I’d like to see an update that either increases their health some more and/or puts a health bar in the mech’s targeting UI. Using stratagems is something I can also agree with since that was a thing in HD1 and we can already use Stims inside a mech.
Mechs need two additions. First, they should enable a mobile ammo supply for unmounted divers. Balance that out by proportionately limiting the supply of the mechs deployable ammo. Second, they should enable a melee function. Combined these enhancements would encourage a very different strategy with the units while ensuring a more conservative approach to deployment.
They do have a melee function in the form of a stomp by pressing f which can 2 shot chargers. Currently the free mech call in is bugged and can't do that melee but the equippable one works.

Try something other than what people flock to and you might be surprised. Breaker+shield was a crutch for folks with soft hands and no biceps. Take the slugger and you get the ability to permanently stagger any bot devastator and one shot stalkers when you shoot them in the face. 3-4 shots right above their robo-peen literally cuts them in half. Jar-5 is gnarly against bugs, doing bonus (literally double) damage to all fleshy bits. The explosive liberator interrupts spewers mid-animation meaning you don’t have to dive out of the way, and it literally pushes jimmy chainsaw arms away from you. The diligence one shots the unarmored bots with upper torso hits, and actually has zoom- you can pair it with armor that has the scout passive and kill bots at distance with no retaliation and it will drop devastators with 1-2 hits to the head.
mech is kind of weak sauce, you only get 1 drop, so you expect it to be a killing machine even at max difficulty, but its not, its basically a difficulty 4 or below equipment, once you go over if 5, it starts to struggle vs other options because its weapons basically work the same as the expendable anti-tank and the machine gun, you just have more ammo... its a mech and its not even using the best weapons you can carry on foot = WTF??? and ontop of that its a glass cannon, around half my mech drops died on drop, died shortly after landing due to a scratch making it explode before i could get in or even just a bug jumping up to hit the rocket i just fired which destroyed my mech that was at full HP, which ironically the same rocket is far more lethal vs my mech then most bugs or robots i shoot... with such a weak mech it needs a min of 3 drops to make it half viable and even then im not sure id want to use it dif 6 or over, it needs a buff, the mini gun should have better AP at the rockets need a AP or explosive buff... the lack of balance is mind boggling.... the last patch is basically a de-balance update in my opinion, almost everything needs a buff and everything that desperately needs buffing... was ignored... again dev logic of a retarded 1 year old. but im guessing they want to slowly roll out 1000 experimental weapons over the next 10 years, otherwise not much point collecting super creds... so got to keep most the weapons nerfed and useless.

With the Laser Cannon you can just shoot the leg joints of the strider walkers and after like 2 seconds it cuts the leg off and they die

Shield is great for bugs! Your shield won’t cook you or your friends and it saves you from Stalker whips, Charger knocks and Bile juices.
I love it but I feel like I would love to see the other variants cause sometimes I want just a little bit more firepower!
Apparently there are plans in the future for a autocannon and flamethrower variant
