- It's finally done! My first official comic dub! I had lots of fun making this and I hope you all enjoy.

Well aside from the fact that he was just hungry, another reason is probably that Marx would rather conquer everything than have it destroyed by a big evil deity.

That’s an interesting way to look at their story. My take on it is that it wasn’t necessary an “interest” Magalor had on the crown, but more like the crown was interested in him (had influence on him), judging how his interactions between him and Kirby seem really genuine for the first 3/4 of the game, considering that Kirby was more than willing to help Magalor when he never asked him in the first place. Sure, Magalor offered him a trip to his planet, which may mean that he may have just had a smidge of influence from the crown. But when they arrive, are shot down, and are STILL capable of travel, Magalor, instead of either fleeing back to stay with Kirby and friends, or help them in their quest himself, he gets the idea then and there to have them do the dirty work. Considering Magalor is actually a Mage, you’d consider that he would’ve helped them out. Maybe that crown ended up giving him a strange lust for the feeling you get from having power, to have a dragon slain without lifting a finger. Then when the crown is free of its prison, it finally takes full control over Magalor. I don’t know if Magalor got his scheme from Marx, although it really looks like it plays out that way. The key difference is that he never asked for help, but he always accepted it. I think Magalor may have dropped off Marx on a different planet before settling off to face Landia alone. However, we don’t really know how many times he’s really tried.
I can see that the object that Magolor was looking for was the master crown
But hey, it’s just a theory. A game theory.

True, but also, knowing the Lor Starcutter and how large it was in the game dedicated to him ,when you step inside the Lor Starcutter, it’s quite large, and that’s the game we should be taking notes on for what’s canon and what’s not as that game is directed to him. Since it’s so large he could easily just kinda keep Marx in one area letting him heal, I mean, getting whacked by a hammer, then flying into a metal comet, enduring the power of a literal explosion, then getting sent flying onto someone’s ship won’t exactly leave you conscious. I’m shocked that he technically survived, but he most likely wouldn’t without Magolor.

In norse legend they a squirrel that does same thing. Ratatosk runs up and down the world tree carrying insults between the eagle at top and nidhogg the dragon at bottom trying to kill the world tree. Oh and it invulnerable so no shooting the messager.

Regular non eldritch Magolor is really cute. Same for Marx. But, seems to be a common theme that cute things just get turned into Eldritch Gods capable of making the sun and the moon fight, or ripping a hole in space time, or manipulating reality itself.
It’s kinda weird how this is super accurate to the lore except for the fact that they didn’t account for the fact Marx was already friends with Kirby. Everything else is super accurate other than this one detail it’s a little weird.

Oh my gosh it is so sweet story, I almost cry about it and they are so sweet too each other. I wish this is real in kirby games and shows.
I crash landed on Halcandra with no memory, make friends with this weird rabbit looking thing, somehow accidentally magiked him into immortality, sentience, and neato pyrokinesis;telekinesis superpowers, and now he has to babysit me for all eternity.
Depicting Marx as a rouge Noddy is one hell of an interesting theory.

So i'm guessing that is the prequel before the story of dreamland's chapter back in year 2011. The prequel is after Kirby defeated Marx, destroyed his wings and banished him beyond the orbit of Planet Popstar at that time
Giving Marx an actually deeply existential reason for wanting to conquer Popstar was actually pretty cool! Really loved this dub! Do you think there will be a part with an aftermath episode? Like, how things went after Kirby defeated Magolor and such?
ah my interpretation was his species needs a lot of sleep to function properly, but Marx developed insomnia that slowly drove him insane lol
