I've never played Tarkov, but I like to keep checking in on its development as it has gone along (I believe I first read about its development in a physical magazine!). This is the first time that watching it, the guns have made sense gameplay wise and battles haven't seemed like spray and pray. So can imagine for actual players it is amazing!
I'm glad these weapons are getting the attention they deserve, they were my favorites even before the recoil changes. Also, for the budget Aug you can mount a suppressor directly onto the stock muzzle device.
if you have flea market the val and vss are the best budget suppresed guns. 50-60k roubles and you dont need any attachments for it to be viable and sp5 is the best ammo you can buy at lvl 2 traders and probably better than any lvl 3 trader ammo with the new ammo changes
at level 3 prapor you can get vss with barter, which while its meta mods aren't available, its base recoil in this patch is still really good. try it! 20r mags at level 3 prapor too
its crazy that you're the only one who has made a LL3 build guide this wipe, I appreciate your content but I always want to see more variation, try them out and see what i like. your builds are quite barebones/budget
It feels so good playing short M4's Mk18's. Finally you can run rifles that look good and are still competitive. Also, 8T isnt a holographic sight like Eotech's or the Huey. Its a standard reflex red dot, but in a massive housing. Something similiar to Leupold LCO or Holosun 510
Have yet to jump back into wipe (fairly busy, not enough time) but seeing the SA-58 have a much more usable full auto mode, in all honesty and TMI glory, gives me a massive hard on.
Worth noting that the SA-58 does accept sights on the top of some railed handguards -- if you only have flea, you can still run a micro red dot on an SA-58. That said, it's a bit of a waste to only have a red dot on a 7.62x51 rifle, you're missing out on a lot of long-range capability, and on flea the handguards are stupid expensive. ALSO, the tube adapter with the Armacon Baskak stock goes pretty hard on any weapon it fits on. Only gives +2 ergo (still better than the default FAL fixed stock) but it almost always has close to best-in-slot recoil reduction.
I run irons purely because it’s how I run my IRL FAL, and honestly it’s perfectly serviceable if you’re just running customs or similarly sized locations/maps. I reliably could take out PMC’s at medium distances even with just irons it’s surprisingly good.
that would also mean making the Bastion dust cover absolutely dogshit at holding zero as well forcing every AK user to use the dovetail mount or a expensive hadnguard + dust cover combo :P
i love to see the aimpoint/romeo red dot sights getting some use, especially with the risers. this setup is pretty common irl, but i havent seen people run them too much in tarkov. personally i find it pretty decent and it's fun to larp with a rifle that looks similar to my own.
AUG A3 is for now my go to for this wipe. Any other suggestions? I think I will also run the KRISS Vector .45 but I need Skier or Mechanic LL3 for the 33-round mag.
Making any gun viable is how it should be. Although I think they need to lower the 7.62 ak recoils just a little. Solid middle ground lvl 2 mixed with flea attachments get me to an ak103 of like 92 recoil.

you can mount red dots on to some of the handguards for the SA-58 before you reach mechanic level 3.
Still not ideal because of how recoil and muzzle climb work, but you are right

You slept on the T4 AUG suppressor that goes over the default flash hider. It's always dirt cheap on the flea, and is also available for USD on PK3.
I'm not far from pk 3 and haven't used 556 yet much, I'll have to keep that in mind

I’ve actually ran a shorty mk18 setup for a couple wipes now and it’s pretty viable even before the recoil buff, long barrel mk18 is where it’s at tho

I've had some good raids with just the iron sights, it's actually decent and usable

The gun is the cheapest part this wipe. The only part that matters is, did you pay 100k for a scope on the flea, and 50k for the + 1 ergo mount.

Rush to skeleton in the middle of the map and hide on the right by the blue containers 😂 worked well for me. Also make sure to use piranha ammo
