Love the amps in the background. I had a Kustom K200B with twin 2/15 cabs to play bass thru and my lead player had that Rickenbacker transonic because he thought he was Jimmy Page.
Thanks! Whenever I look at the Transonic next to the AC-100 I think, "Rickenbacker wanted to make sure that their amp was a few inches taller than the Vox!" No comparison in the sound, though!
That was fun! My first electric guitar was a Sears 1448 made by Danelectro. Black and white, just like that one. Sounded about the same, too! Plus I was able to make a cable to connect the output of my little transistor radio into the amp for a better sound! I remember waking up one morning and hearing of Berry Oakley's passing on WMMR in Philadelphia. Too bad one of my cousins stepped on it while I had it laid down on the floor and snapped it in two. I was broken-hearted.
I recently was given a March '58 Silvertone (Dano) single pickup with original case and amp. I never looked seriously at Lipsticks. I went right out and bought a '98 Dano U2 RI and both guitars go to every gig now. Amazing pickups!!! Suggestion for your next video: Blondes with Accordions Drinking Wine.
This is fantastic!

Also, every guitar sound you hear in this video was coming directly through those amp-in-case cases!
Thanks this video really rekindled my interest in finding one of those 67 dollar wonders!

The lipstick tube pickups were a simple, yet highly effective design. They sound great.
And much quieter than I expected. Even the one alone is fine.
The 3-way switch with Capacitor gives it more sounds with an Esquire vibe.
You make enjoyable vids , nice work \m/
Carl, you are a knowledgeable fella!
This was oddly entertaining. I mean that respectfully. And good info about Danelectro. +1 for original music.
