How do we connect this phone through pc - is it as easy as plug-and-play? My router/modem is too far away from my home office setup which is in the basement and I do NOT want an extremely long ethernet cable running through the house, but I read that it could be possible to connect the phone via ethernet cable directly to my pc which has an ethernet port and then share the wireless connection through the PC. I'm just not sure how to go about this...
The solution you are referring to is for your PC to have the ability to share its internet connection. The setup for this differs depending on your hardware and or software setup. I recommend an Ethernet connection with this model. If that is not an option you would like to go with I would look into a phone model that is WiFi compatible like the GRP2602W.
