    Cole is not has hungry as when he was here. But his introspection and wordplay along with storytelling in his lyrics have vastly improved. The lyricism in this is pure raw ambition mixed with that youthful ruthless competitiveness.

      Braden Rikli are you insane?if you'd really listen to cole then you knew different... ever heard let nas down? or even the respond from nas himself? listen to both songs and come back here..

    • @Twinz77
      @Twinz77 11 років тому +4

      Braden Rikli i agree with MarcP865 , also look at his last 2 singles.Power trip and Crooked smile....Power trip he threw together in about one sessions,(the raps at least). u can sorta hear he was just spitting truth, that was probaly a freestyle he did in his head and wrote it down.Now look at Crooked Smile , look what type of song it is, listen to it, it aint radio, its a empowering song for people, mostly women because thats what he is talking about, girls love rap too and that song is out there for the greater good of humanity and people/women who need songs like that. Listen to Born Sinner it aint too radio friendly besides those two songs i mentioned, i cant think of another. Only a smart rapper will be able to make radio singles, and still have classics like friday night lights warm up and such, and Born sinner is a great piece of work aswell as Truly YOurs trilogy. I just know this because as soon as i starting listen to a few songs by him i can tell he was a real dude, and understood his raps and i got more into him. One of my fav's. He only has 2 albums out also. Also listen to Heavy- J. Cole dope song.
      :)

      Mohamed Sultan Keep listening. Man I don't care about the radio. The best artists are Independent/Underground but JCole and Kendrick still make quality music. Mick Jenkins, Dave East, Pusha T, JGivens, K-rino, Gibbs, Eshon Burgundy, Isaiah Rashad, Big Krit, Vince Staples, Denzel Curry etc. the list goes on. Don't get it twisted.

      +PACKbeatz it was produced on the come up his first mix tape in 2007. He wrote up the song at the end of 06 released it in 07 and I think shot the video around that time too.

    I hate seeing people say "What happened to cole?" or "Where did he go?". He's still right here.... every artist has to switch it up throughout their careers to stay relevant. This cole was straight up raw and unfinished. Now he's almost polished off, and more crisp with everything. Regardless, whether you prefer him 5 years ago or right now, it'll always be a COLEWORLD.
