I am still in Crawley, and went past this icon, and the Railway pub , (or was the Rocket) only today, and still remember the underpass on the left that went into town, between the signal box and the gates

Been a long time since I lved in Crawley (now in Burnley Lancashire). Always wondered what it was like in there. Didn't realise the thameslink trains now go down to Horsham.

It's always saddened me that the signal box is the only part of the original Crawley station remaining.

If I had been the signalman that lever cloth would have been used! The replica blocks look good. Nice box, what’s the pub like? 😁

Interesting video, thanks for sharing. I did wonder whether the Crawley crossing is still controlled by Three Bridges ASC rather than the ROC (T prefix signal plates vs. TVS from memory)?

Yes, Crawley is still controlled from Three Bridges ASC. You're correct about T prefix for Three Bridges ASC, Three Bridges ROC signals get T added in front of the original controlling box's prefix (eg, TL, TVS, TVC, TWH, TLW, TEB etc)
