From the start, everyone had their own theories as to what happened and wanted to play detective; upselling photocards and merchandise and netizens being disrespectful to his family and friends' wishes to keep his funeral as private as possible. It's distasteful and abhorrent. We don't need to start arguments and fights over social media and capitalize on somebody's passing for clicks and likes. People obviously forget their morales at the front door, and this behaviour is not okay. Why can't we mourn and be sad in peace? We lost a great performer, actor and human being this truth is already sad enough. Moonbin deserves every last bit of genuine prayers and deserves to shine even if it's not here on Earth. People need to learn to just accept and be respectful.
Honestly anyone trying to make any sort of profit from someone’s passing - clout wise, financially etc is a disgusting, low tier human. There’s a difference between wanting to bring light to the situation and make a tribute to someone, and using a tragedy for clicks. It’s bad enough that fans feel entitled to insert themselves into the private lives of idols but this crosses so many boundaries that it’s horrifying. I hope everyone personally affected by this takes the time to grieve and process in peace.
