This song was from K-On season 2, episode 1.
It is Sakuragaoka school song.
This June, Nora and I started season 2. I continue to enjoy the story, and as usual always enjoy hanging out with my friends, whether in person or online.
This simple song felt very moving to me somehow. I don’t understand the Japanese lyrics. But when the song began after Sawa-chan said “let’s sing the school song”, my emotion was captured by the beautiful piano accompaniment and by the girls singing in unison. The melody is beautiful, it is simple in a way, but also creative for school songs. I wish my schools would have a song as beautiful as this as its own school song. I love the chords used in this song, especially the use of III to vi occasionally.

Thank you for the lyrics translation! Beautiful lyrics! Makes me feel I like their fiction school even more, and their teacher is the coolest teacher! I’ve heard of the rock version when I first searched for the piano accompaniment version. It sounded very different, very much “anime style”, and I love it. Both versions are on my anime music playlist on iTune.

This chord progression is sweet. Nice performance!
The only part that I didn't like is the final chord. It is too low, but it's a matter of taste, of course.
