- Following The Smear Results Vlog this one follows my colposcopy appointment, which was a little more intense than I had initially expected. It makes you realise just how important these routine check ups are.
Sending loads of love to you. I had this done 10 years ago when my 2nd child had just gone 1. It was a really stressful time, take care and look after yourself xxx. It was sore afterwards for me too (forward rolls helped !! bizarrely. Just to let you know I went on to have another 3 children after everything was done ). Good luck xxxx wishing you good news xxx

i go for mine today but they said i need a biopsy done too. scared is an understatement. how long did u have to wait for your results?
Hi. I’ve got my colposcopy/ possible biopsy/ possible removal next week. The bit I’m scared of the most is the biopsy or anaesthetic injections hurting. So many mixed experiences. Did you find the injections painful? x
Hi sweet Sam, I hope everything is okay now. I think you were a little bit confused, you didn't do a colposcopy biopsy, but a Large Loop Excision surgery. ♥️

I actually went in for a colposcopy appointment but within the appointment, after identifying the problem area they immediately did the loop treatment. X
@@Sammiss oh that's why!! I went as well for my colposcopy but they sent the sample for a biopsy first. I was about to have the surgery few weeks ago but because I have a connective tissue disorder local anaesthetic doesn't work for me, and we are arranged with the doctor to do it with regional anesthesia. I'm kind of scared to be honest.. I'm having the surgery in a few weeks. So glad that everything is fine with you now!! Thank you for this video! ♥️
@@suki-yuki yeah, it was a bit of a shock and I wasn't expecting it, but I figured that the sooner the better.

Mine is in 2 weeks here in the USA. HPV. But normal pap.I’ve had it done 10 years ago.. very painful
All the best with it. I honestly had no idea what to expect! I didn't find it too painful, a bit pinchy for a few days after though. xx
I was always scared having s smear test but for first time ages 35 something kept telling me to go I didn't feel right.... I went then I hiy my results HPV I didn't even know what that was I thinking the worse what happens if I didn't go etc I would get sick ...anyways they saw a little there and I'm find and don't need to go back ....
You never need to expose yourself to any stranger !!! Look at yourself and press your own abdomen. Fully clothed abdominal sonogram will show if you have problems.
I refused to have one last year but I now need an emergency one did it hurt?
The procedure didn't hurt at all, there was a bit of a pinching feeling for a few days after (a bit like a mild cramp) but nothing serious. All the best with yours. If you have any othrr questions please don't be afraid to ask xxx
Was it painful?
No, they numb you at the time. It was a bit pinchy for a couple of days after, but I was back in work the next day

Absolutely. It's a very scary thing to face, and even worse when you contemplate what it could evolve in to if you hadn't gone for a smear. Keep me updated xx
Sammiss i will do , not sure if im going to be able to make it Tuesday what a pain as its the time of the month 😒 it says on the leaflet they cant do it if your on 😭
Sammiss hey i went yesterday, was a bit uncomfortable but glad its all done with now , she said i just need to come back next year for another smear test so hopefully by then the hpv will have cleared up xxxx

Anaesthetic? Lol wow. Lucky you! They don’t do any anaesthetic here for colposcopys. Or biopsies Sucks lol
Flower Power I wasn't given anesthesia but was offered it if I felt like I needed it. I was told to take 400 mg of ibuprofen 2 hours before my appointment which I did. As my doctor was doing the biopsy it felt like my abdomen and stomach was being churned up and down. Uncomfortable yes but not really painful. Lab results came back in 3 days and was advised to follow up in a year for another pap smear.
I think she did a Large Loop/Leep excision that's why they used local anaesthetic. On the letter at the video it says that on top. She was already diagnosed with HPV and abnormal cells, she didn't mention if it was CIN 2 or CIN 3. Large Loop excision is a surgery.
