In this video, I'm showing how to clean the EGR valve in honda civic 2010.
To Clean A Mechanical EGR Valve. Clean and inspect the vacuum hose. Remove the vacuum hose and inspect closely for wear (cracks or weak spots), then clean out the carbon deposits either with a spray can of carburetor cleaner or with a pipe cleaner if the deposits are hardened or compacted. check out my other video to clean the catalytic converter. hit like button if this video helps you. thanks for watching

Having problem with 2010 civic lx sedan. I cant find anything about the specific things happening with my civic. I did unhook the computer and mobilizer both briefly. Put both back. Actually only unplugged immobilizer. Now when i turn key green key code flashes one time very very briefly before it starts runs for 5 seconds then dies. The only code i get on reader is a abs code.
Check if your mass air flow sensor connected and throttle body connector

Can we delet this stupid thing from the engine? This is so bad for the engine,the intake is getting carbon built up over the valves because of this smoke going back to the engine
EGR is good. The intake is cleaned with fresh gasoline, this is indirect injection. EGR is no problem here. People do milion km on this engine without problems.
Direct injection is bad ;)
Egr is demonic. It ruins engines. It makes them run like crap and you would have 10 better performance and mileage if it weren’t there.
Do we need to put some sealant on the surface or on the gasket area - before putting it back?
IF YOUR putting new gasket then no sealant needed
Ahmed Ali is there a gasket for the eve valve? I want to clean mine bow that I seen your video but don’t know anything about it.
@@rhdadrian its not that difficult just get the gasket frim autozone and disconnect the battery before you open it. Make sure to not drop screws that will suck. I dropped it and couldn't find it so i have to go back to auto zone to get the new one 🙃
How often you’ll need to clean it upon mileage
Not very often. In couple years or after 50,000 miles
Is this the same process for a 2007 Honda Civic hybrid? I’m a bit scared to do it myself but I’m willing to do it to save my money $200 worth

I have a problem with my Honda Civic 2010 it heat up after driving the car around to 1 hrs I change the sensor and the thermostat and itill doing the same thing what can a do next

@@Ahmedpakido abviously, but what do you gain by cleaning the egr. Is it just for maintenance/ preventing errors or does it impact the engine performance if it clean. If the throttle body is dirty in the old models the pedal began to stick.
@@atrem7942 it does make difference if you notice. Keep the air filters clean
@@atrem7942 it is to give good fuel mileage. It works with air flow sensor and pressure regulator for the gases in exhaust. i. e catalytic converter. Car runs smoother
