I recommend to everyone that get the synergy track bar brace in the front. It makes the truck handle like a race car. I put it on my stock suspension jeep and it was night and day difference.
You guys sound like me an my buddy. When you have a friend that can work on cars (me) they'll always hangout. Saved him 50k at least over the last 30 years.
Great video! I noticed you have the yellow sticker on passenger side spring. In the Mopar instructions manual the yellow sticker with the part number 68436806AA is for the left driver side.
Great video! I just bought the Mopar lift for my 2021 JTR and I was wondering how it is doing? I have been viewing a lot of videos and yours is one of the best! A local shop recommended an adjustable front track bar, rear track bar bracket and a steering stabilizer along with the kit, Are all these things necessary if it is my DD 90% time and very light off-roading so basically a pavement princess! 😄 I'm just a little overwhelmed with the information. I have 35" tires already on it. Thank you and keep up the great content!
Thanks for the kind words and for watching and commenting! Those are all nice to have things. Do you need them, no. I have none of them still and my Jeep is fine. I drive mine about how you drive yours. In my head I go to trails all the time, in reality, not so much. It mostly goes to work and runs errands. The great thing is, you can add one thing at a time and feel the changes they make. I may upgrade my steering stabilizer next, then my track bars. But with the Mopar lift, it’s not a big enough lift to make any of it necessary. Bigger lifts impact the geometry more and in that case, it’s more necessary to adjust for it. But if you want to do it all at once, now is the time since you’ll be taking it all off to install the lift anyway. Pick what’s best for you and your situation.
@@QuickShifts Thank you for the quick reply Jason! I guess I will probably just add the additional parts and enjoy my truck! I just want to do the lift the right way and not have any problems with it down the road. I love my truck!
Looks awesome, I have the same Gladiator. Now that you had it like that for awhile, do you know of another kit you like better, or was there any reason to have an adjustable track bar or adjustable lower control arms? Thanks for the help.
Just took it wheeling over the weekend. It did really well. I have had no issues with this setup. I know the aftermarket parts are beefier in some cases, but I don’t wheel hard enough (yet) to worry about it. I don’t think the lift is big enough to require an adjustable track arm. It may be something I do down the road, but not something I feel I need to do immediately. No wobble, alignment was not an issue, truck tracks just fine so far. It’s a Jeep and still drives like one. One with no factory warranty issues to worry about. 😉
Great instructional video! Thanks for posting it! After 6+ months now of having the lift installed, any feedback and/or issues? Still wandering on you? Did you end up having to have an alignment done as well?
Thanks for watching and commenting! After a few weeks of driving post install, I did go back over all the bolts and re torque them. No issues thus far with the kit. I did have my dealership do an alignment to be sure I didn’t have any premature wear on the expensive new tires. It wonders a touch, like every Jeep I’ve ever driven. It drives and rides so much better with the lift. They should have come with it from the factory. I’ve got a one year video review coming out any day. (Just need to do the editing on it)
Would it be easier to put the lower control arms in first and leave them loose. Then start with the rest I’m about to attempt this by myself and would like for it to be as easy as possible
Not really, you need the free play to shift things around. It really not a bad job and with a second set of hands and the right tools, you’ll cruise through it. Make sure you torque to spec and then after a few hundred miles, I suggest going back and torquing the control arm bolts again.
Yes, the stock track bars fit and I did reuse them. Albeit, I was going to upgrade them next if I still had the Gladiator. I did get an alignment. But it wasn’t really off according to the tech. Just good insurance to have one done with these big tires as expensive as they are.
@@QuickShifts Thank You Sir. I believe I will go with the new Mopar 2" lift kit with the Bilstein Reservoir Shocks for our Ecodiesel Gladiator. Stock suspension can't handle the weight of bumper and winch I installed. Thanks again!
BFGoodrich KM3 mud terrains. With the 37 inch tires and the Mopar crawling has been easier with the additional clearance gained. I hope to get some off reading footage to add soon. Thanks for watching!
If it’s off, it won’t be much. But after spending a ton on new tires, I got mine done anyway. In my opinion, I would get one done. Check for local deals and or Groupon to save a few bucks. I ended up paying my local dealership to program the tire size and do the alignment. It wasn’t horrible and I knew it was done right. This is definitely a manageable task. If it’s your first lift, plan on a couple days or one longer day. Take your time and work smart. Not bad at all.
Jason do you know if this same mopar lift kit will raise my sport S 3.5" higher? Or only 3"? Because the Rubicon is 2" higher from the factory. Please let me know good sir. Thank you.
So I ordered the mopar lift for my gladiator but I originally wanted the even sitting effect of a leveling kit. Can a front leveling kit still be install and work with the mopar lift? Seems like if the suspension is out now is the time to do both.
Yes, this is a common thing done at the same time. I have not done it because I’ve been using the bed of my truck and I don’t want that Carolina squat. LOL
If you are asking if the lift would work with that tire size, yes it would work. Going with a bigger tire size is optional. I sold my stock tires and bought bigger tires out of preference, not requirement for the lift. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Had this installed at the dealer. They installed the rear shocks upside down (dark side up fox decal behind the tire) should I go back and have them do it properly? Haven’t seen any other installations like that. Can this become a problem?
@@QuickShifts thanks for the response. I just didn’t know if they were going to say there is no “right way”. No Jeep I’ve seen with the lift has done it this way.
