Good choice. Deep carry clips for the Native are available from several aftermarket custom shops. And don't worry about the Native blade closing on your finger. The worst that can happen is the finger choil gimping will smack your knuckles.
And I have the blue Native 5 in S110V by the way.
Yeah I always drop it 90. Choil to finger then finish closing via back of blade. I bought the spy27. Love it... but now I also want something to vanish in my pocket with no clip. Ladybug or dragonfly2.
I like your comparisons! I bought the Native5 I like lockbacks, I love the blade shape better. No problem opening one handed or closing.
Nice comparison! 👍 I have both, and you can close the Native 5 with one hand, because of the big finger choil on the blade. Grab it by the handle, and release the back lock with you thumb. Swing the blade forward and the blade's finger choil will meet with your index finger safely. Than you can close it easily. I use this method day by day. :)
Great comparison! I have owned both, and the Native 5 stayed. I didn't care for the "lock bite" on the PM3. Also I scored an S35VN Native and enjoy the superior steel

The Native 5 is verry one hand able.
I would rate it more one hand able than axis lock, and liner lock (the 2 I have experience with).
Whether its more one hand able than the compression lock I don't know.
The Native 5 gets more pocket time than the Para 3. For me the ergos are better with a flat spine over the thumb ramp. IMHO while the compression lock can be faster to close, the lock back is more ambidextrous.
More and more I like knives that have really neutral ergos. Neither the Para 3 nor the native are that. But the native by not having the rampy ramp and instead having the flat spine is juuust a smidgeon more neutral, and that makes it in my day to day life waaay more attractive
also my native 5 salt gets more pocket time. its tropical and sweaty where i live and work. its strong light ergonomic and rust proof

I bought native 5 bcause of this review. Thanks! I like it a lot. I have the pm2 as well. And i love the open-close flick. If i want yo carry smaller flick knife i take my bmade mini-freak with me.

I own both and the Native gets carried much more. Its just ergonomically superior to me.
If Native 5 had a wire clip that would be the answer.
I used to think the Para 3 was the best 3 inch knife in the market today, that is until I got my first Native 5. I've got both lightweights in CPM-SPY 27. I also already had a Para 3 G10 in S110V. Yesterday (11/11/2022), I bought a Native 5 G10 in S110V. I also have a Para Military 2 in S30V. I do love that knife especially after I operated on it but my favorite is my Shaman, also in S30V. So where am I going with this? While I still really love my Military family of knives from Spyderco, I love the Native family more. To each his own. Thanks for the review.

Native 5 scales look slightly thicker than para3, maybe why the grip nubs are deeper on the native, also frn might feel more solid because of thickness difference or possibly the lock back steel bar offers more support than the floating compression lock
