Love Mike!! Mike Holcomb is an awesome base singer. He's from Georgia and the next county south of me. I agree, the original Inspirations with Archie Watkins, Troy Burns, Ronnie Hutchins and Mike is the best. I grew up listening to the Inspirations, seen them several times in cconcert. And I have several of their vinyl records from back in the day that I still listen to on my record player. Actually, they used to come to the Church I went to growing up and sing. God bless!
mike Holcomb is probably the lowest note carior other than JD SUMNER...but tim riley is the smoothest..mike has been one of my favorites since childhood...
Agreed! They don't need to start with that junk! Watching the "Movements" that David Sutton from Triumphant Quartet makes, when he's moving his (Please pardon the term), "Backside", when they do the song "Moving up to Gloryland, is sickening enough! That's something that definitely isn't needed in Southern Gospel Music! Swaying suggestively like that is DEFINITELY out of bounds for me!
G. H. Ken Turner just seems to hit very low notes with ease, and Tim Riley has such a naturally strong voice. He doesn't have to try to be loud, doesn't have to force it.
I've been listening to this group since I was a little girl that was over 50 years ago their name says it all!!!!!
That is what quartet singing is all about. Awesome!!
Love the inspirations.
Nobody better than The Inspirations
That was an absolutely wonderful ending!! Such great harmony!
I miss Melton, and Mike so much. Sure wish they were back.

These guys are silly in a fun sort of way, and extremely talented! Way to hit that double low do, Mike! ( Wish he was still with the inspirations)!

3:58 Donald duck
Did anyone else notice Mike Holcomb stop the other 3 from swaying? I'm in agreement with Mike on that.

what was that?
Aflac!!!
IT IS GONA BE HARD TO BEAT THIS LINE UP..IF ONLY MR. WATKINS WOULD HAVE BEEN HERE FOR HIGHER NOTE
Those boys ain't right. Neither is Campbell.
The Double low C is clearly fried, but the Double low G was chest.
So? Can you do any better? I've heard way too much talk about "Vocal fry", and I'm tired of it. Let the Bass Singer alone, ok?
@@ronaldshank7589 Tired to read things about vocal fry in UA-cam? I have the solution for your issue: get out from UA-cam. Cheers.
@@vitormrmr I'll do no such thing, so-CHEERS!!!!!
He's good, but I like Tim Riley better.
I like Ken Turner and Tim Riley better.
