If I check in online 24 hours prior, and I get the digital boarding pass in the app, since I only have a carry on as well, I can just skip the desk/computer check ins and go straight to security? Or is it advised to go to the check in desk/computer check in to get a paper ticket. Thanks!
Even though you were already checked in online and have a digital boarding pass, I wonder what would have happened if before clearing security you went to the actual Porter Airlines check in counter and asked them to "Go Show" (or standby) you onto the Toronto Bishop flight departing around the same time. Sometimes depending on the agent's discretion, they can move you on to another flight without extra charge.
I notice on the satelite view of the airport that there's like a series of gates that are detached from the main terminal are these the gates for regional domestic flights i.e to the maritimes?
There's a big domestic queue in the afternoon because people will transfer in Toronto or Vancouver to international destinations. If you take your Toronto flight in the morning there's almost no queue.
I hate the trudope air port! I refuse to ever use it again! I find the staff there Excessively ignorant! For an “international” air port they seem to hate any one who does not speak french Canadian! They have distain for their customers, and dont try to hide it! Very gross horrid place to have the misfortune of having to go!

I checked in the next morning for the re-scheduled flight and the queue was much busier lol
Did they pay for your hotel when your flight got cancelled?
