Thanks for the awesome video Johnny! Can’t believe the plane ride from a Toronto to Montreal is only $1 dollar! Very cheap! Have a great weekend Johnny and friends!
Hello Johnny, Nice video. I was in Montreal at the same time. In your first video, did not know which hotel you were in, but now that I see, I was in Humaniti right opposite to you. I Travelled back to Toronto on Friday. Was busy with business meetings.. else I was interested to atleast say Hi in person. I have been watching your videos almost from your day one. 👍 Yes side walks were terrible. I actually slipped too.. but was fine. Boots are must I guess in winter in Montreal.
Back in 1981, I took a midnight bus from Toronto to Montreal. Although it took about 6 hours from downtown to downtown, it seemed a lot less complicated than your trip, LOL! Although it was kind of scary going through a heavy thunderstorm on the 401 while the driver was going full speed, passing all kinds of trucks in the process... 😲
Interesting fact about the Up Express. The trains are manufactured by Nippon Sharyo, a train manufacturer in Japan. They're a Diesel locomotive manufactured for the North American market which is why they look unlike most trains we have in Canada.
I've always wondered about the Express Train. My brother and sister in law live on the Bloor Line so they've used it a few times but when I hear "Pearson"....arghh. Would've taken the train to Montreal (and the bar car). Kudos to you for discovering something different. Albeit, it has its hiccups.
When I think of Porter Airlines, I always associate it with the Toronto Island Airport (YTZ) as opposed to Pearson Airport (YYZ). I wonder if any passengers showed up at the wrong airport for their flights. Perhaps Porter Airlines should offer an option where an UP Express ticket from Union Station to Pearson Airport can be sold as a bundle. Better yet, offer check-in kiosks at the UP Express platform in Union Station that prints baggage tags.
Montreal's "Metro" is pretty darn good, or at least it was when I visited in 2015. Rides smooth with those rubber wheels! Would love to get back again sometime soon.
I think if you count the time and hassle of getting to the airport vs. the train you're not saving much time by flying. Although tell that to the VIA customers who were trapped on the train during the big storm and then sold food and drinks by VIA lol
19:21 Air Canada, WestJet / Swoop, Porter, Air Transat, Sunwing, Flair, Lynx, Canada Jetlines. Airline industry in Canada went from no competition to too much competition.
You also have to include getting from the Montreal airport to downtown. I'd rather take the train from Union to Montreal Central train station. It would still be slower (around 7 hours) but simple and a lot cheaper.
Johnny's taking the UP - Union to Pearson - express train, so I guess when he comes back he will be travelling from Pearson to Union he will be taking the P-U express.
Anxious to find out about this $1.00 flight..and all the problems you encountered trying to book a flight back to Toronto. I assume this is your flight to Montreal.
Excellent video, you do a great job for sure, thank you.
Thanks K-Man!

Hi Johnny, nice watching your videos. Proud Torontonians. Take care

This was amazing, loved it Johnny.

Met you at the airport gate in Montreal. Dope content! Keep it up.
Was good to meet you! Hope you made it back safe and sound!
Am so happy for Porter. They will become Toronto’s premier airline
Very nice video Johnny
Yes I enjoyed it 💗 what a smooth journey going but coming back was rough 😔 glad you are back home safe and sound 🤗
Great video! Hope you have a good time in Montreal 👍🏽
Hello Johnny i really enjoyed watching this video thank you
You're welcome!

Great video Johnny. Thats was a lot of walking!
Fantastic as always great vid!🙂

Eu daqui do 🇧🇷viajando de graça e sem sair de casa nesse canal, gosto demais, e sim Embraer é Brasileira 🥰
I am flying on porter airlines in march 26 to Vancouver British Columbia
W VIDEO. Lowkey amazing video
YHey Johnny I love your UA-cam videos and my first time looking at UA-cam videos 38:12
Last time going to Montreal was first time flying there - and frankly, think the train is the way to go. Unless there's a massive storm, lol...
I think if you count the time and hassle of getting to the airport vs. the train you're not saving much time by flying.

But we still have piss poor consumer protection.
Those sidewalks do look rough. Great video Johnny, as always
Let me guess: was your travel time from home to YYZ longer than the flight to Montreal?
Well Toronto is a big city 😂
You also have to include getting from the Montreal airport to downtown. I'd rather take the train from Union to Montreal Central train station. It would still be slower (around 7 hours) but simple and a lot cheaper.
😂😂😂😂😂
Hello, Jhony Excellent trip We would like to travel by Airplane is an enjoyable experience.
You make good videos Johnny.
How is airport security check? Do they really check laptops and phones?
It was quick and the staff were friendly. They make you take your laptop out of your bag (and sometimes liquids) to scan them but that's it.
Great video, that's a really good deal! Domestic flights should be cheaper!

Note : I quit French Classes after Grade 10 🤦
Actually an average ultra-low cost flight from Toronto to Montreal costs 158 CA$ (in August 2024)
Is the UP Express fare paid based on the honour system? since there's no turnstiles at the station.
Yeah but fare inspectors aren't uncommon.
Toronto is so world class. I like
How Toronto Pearson has the UP Express train. Montréal’s 747 bus is so embarrassing
Montreal's rail connection should open in 2027 at least!
World class is nos just about an express train to the airport . It is also about a proper indendity ,an uniqueness which Toronto does have .
Très belle video cher ami Jhonny !!!( travel gratis toronto -Montréal)merci...
Lindo video gracias 🇨🇷💪👏👏👏
I was also on this flight!
Johnny's taking the UP - Union to Pearson - express train, so I guess when he comes back he will be travelling from Pearson to Union he will be taking the P-U express.
current YYZ T1 opened in 2004, not 2014
Interesting.
Nice video. If I go to Ottawa or Montreal, I usually have my dad to drive or I use the MegaBus or Flixbus. I would NOT fly!!
Anxious to find out about this $1.00 flight..and all the problems you encountered trying to book a flight back to Toronto. I assume this is your flight to Montreal.
So how much did the busr on the street "stcum"cost?
Maybe you took back to hotel
I just paid the $21 for 3 days including the bus.
Demasiado bello aeropuerto 🇨🇷🇨🇦❤️
Bonjour à Montréal
❤❤🗽
$1 seems too good to be true. I let my friend know cheaper than the Mega Bus faster too
Hey wait a minute. How’s it only $1 to get from Toronto to Montreal by plane, bus or train? It can’t be that cheap
It was a promo fare by Porter.
I’m shocked there is no entertainment screens at each seat.
It's not that long of a flight.
They have onboard free wifi and also let you stream movies and tv shows to your device so it's fine by me IMO.
❤❤🗽🇨🇦🇨🇦
✨✨💕🌟
Montreal! Strip Club! Strip Club! Strip Club! Johnny, you gotta support "the arts."
;p;
Hope you could speak a bit of French. Great video Johnny. 😊
Johnny you should carry your wallet in your front pocket the pickpockets cannot get it from their only if you have it in your back pocket
I usually do when I travel, and often when it's in my back pocket it's one that zips shut.
I would have said "disembarking" for "deboarding." Also, unless that child had a specific issue he couldn't control, he needed a slap.
