We all love plastic army men not just because it was the toys of our childhoods. Sometimes I can see the horror of war through the broken plastic soldiers.
1:33 Are actually American Paratroopers. They are WW2 era judging by the weapons. Most of them use the M1 carbine which is actually one of the main weapons used by Paratroopers during operation Overlord, Market Garden, etc. they used these weapons because they were light and versatile.
The "austrailians" were just Americans. The "russians" were just brown Americans. The "Japanese" were soldiers I cannot identify. The "Canadians were just American army men. The BIGGEST mistake is that they called the Britain soldiers "Africans" it's hilarious and the "Brazilians" were just not Brazilians
My cousin Steve had a great set of US and German troops along with vehicles motorcycles with side cars tanks. I'm pretty sure they were Marx brand. I loved going over to his house and playing with them had a lot of terrain also palm trees bunkers ect. Have to see if he still has these, he had all girls so maybe they are still around.
The White Soildiers are WW2 U.S Soildiers, if you look closely at certain figures, you can see that they are holding a weapon called a M1 carbine, witch was commonly used by the United States in WW2, I'm just telling ya...
Every Wrong Army men labeled: Australians are Airfix US Paratroopers, they even have the nets and camouflage to prove it. Japanese are Airfix German Infantry and British 8th Army. Canadians are basically Matchbox US Infantry and a few Airfix British Paratroopers. Africans are Airfix British 8th Army. Brazilians are literally the Yellow Version of Most of the Japanese. British are American Infantry (Don’t know the brand but pretty sure)
Yes, they are not Brazilian, I don't think there are even plastic soldiers that are beasileiros, there are brands that make plastic soldiers in Brazil, but they make American, Japanese and German soldiers, these German soldiers are made by a Brazilian company.
Lol “all these brown ones are russians”. Two corrrections they are red and those are technically Soviets not Russia Russia was a country in the Soviet Union but not the only country
Nice set of army men. I saw what whoever bagged and labeled the soldiers for you didnt know what countries they were from. I saw a lot of americans, british, and germans that were in the african, australian, brasilian, and other armies too. They probably assumed their countries based on color or guessed
Most of these soldiers are just cheap copies of the original,Airfix, matchbox and markx plastic soldiers. Some are original marx soldiers.I have the original ones and older plastic soldiers by marx, cresent, lonestar,Herald and Britians. The Britians deetail range was the best.

Pickertown U.S.A. all the cool figures are from the Louis Marx Toy Co. I had most of these stolen from me when I was a kid. I am currently trying to get some metal molds tooled out to copy some of the remaining figures that still survive. Is this lot of toys still for sale???? I want to buy it from you. Let me know please.
Hello Armondo Dy. I'm so sorry to hear you had your collection stolen from you when you were a kid. That's horrible. This entire collection sold on eBay. I wish you the very best on rebuilding and recreating your collection.
+PickerTownUSA. Thanks for the reply. Those Marx figures go for at least $28.00 dollars per figure, each. Nothing really beats the originals. But hopefully the molds will come out pretty close. If you ever come across another collection like this. Shoot me a message here on UA-cam over at my channel. Thanks.
A great many are mis-identified, but since you no longer have them, it's a moot point. You have many manufacturers of these plastic soldiers and vehicles- Airfix, Marx, MPC, Tim Mee Toys, some non-description Chinese and who knows what else. It's a nice collection of soldiers. I don't know if you knew, but there are some things jammed inside the two large Tim Mee cargo trucks. Probably more soldiers, but too late to find out now. I must say you spent a lot of time setting out all these troops on that table. A lazy seller would have just piled heaps on the table, with no organization, and just let the bids fall where they may. I rarely would bid in such an auction. Off hand, I'd say $128 for the lot is roughly a fair price for seller and buyer, so good job! And thank you for posting this interesting collection.
Thank you SO much for your wonderful feedback and sharing your knowledge. Yes, it did take some time laying it out I'm thrilled to hear that it was worth the effort. Based on the feedback I've been getting on this video I'm happy that collectors are enjoying seeing the collection. I appreciate you letting me know that it sold for a fair price. The buyer was so happy and left me amazing feedback.. it was a lot of fun! TFW ~ Pam
I've been helping a friend liquidate the contents of a storage unit that included all of his childhood toys from the 70's / 80's. The winning bidder was really happy to receive this. It sold for $128 on auction. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@thelonelyduck2823 you could do that but these are just cheap plastic soldiers and aren’t worth much and you would need to wait a while till someone buys them but the cars on the other hand are more rare so you could buff up the price with them
yes you can go on eBay to get vintage or go to Timmee Toys, they still make the same stuff from the 70's and 80's same mold better quality (I think lol)
The tank barrels should be facing the other way because the tank barrel is on the shorter part of the tank at the front and then at the back of the engine and the tank doesn’t just park like that
I stand corrected!! Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise. I was only going by the labels that were on the bags when I unpacked them. Thank goodness the original owner had them separated... I would have been clueless. Thanks for watching and commenting
Oh the colour has nothing to do with the nationality...I had Blue Dye-Lot Germans...and Beige, and grey and green, but they were all germans... Also, I think you would actually like the Japanese ones... Bayonet Chargers, Knee Mortars and a guy with a sword who always came face to face with my guy with a webley and cane knife eh :)
This collection was from a storage unit. They were originally purchased in the 70's and 80's by the original owner. You might check eBay ... lots of people selling vintage army toys there. This lot sold and there isn't anything left from this collection. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much Andrew. a lot of people corrected me and i haven't edited the video with the corrections yet. Sorry I can't answer you but hopefully you'll find the answer in the comments.
Sorry but this entire lot was sold to one lucky bidder. I've left the video up because many people have enjoyed seeing the collection (even though so much of the information I provided was wrong). Sorry I couldn't help you. Best wishes finding the vehicles you're looking for.

Oh Yes! Take a look on eBay... especially check the "sold" section. I don't specialize in these.. .this was the first and only time (so far) that I've sold a collection like this. What they go for depends on the collection and the items being sold. TFW!
