Kip James - Our Love (Official Music Video)

our love is a ballad I wrote while strolling in a park in halifax. I was passing around a pond looking at the ducks holding my strapless acoustic guitar and half in jest decided to write a completely over the top song called our love. there was a beautiful weeping willow tree falling around me and an old lady on a park bench when I sang our love and strummed a c chord. I basically composed the whole thing lyrics and all on the first take. I liked the way the song captured the levity of that moment, and I decided to keep the
"government" line because it reflected where I was in that little government garrison city on the east coast.
I played all the instruments on this song except for the drums. My brother Joe Flanagan had an amazing studio performance and I'm so grateful to have him as my musical partner.
Our Love was recorded at Wychwood sound and engineered and mixed by Mike Grundy, can't recommend his studio more highly. It was generously mastered twice by @noahmintzmastering who did a fantastic job.
and lastly shoutout to Lucas Dirickson Garrett for filming and editing this awesome music video while we were travelling in São Paulo Brazil.
