So glad you are back Cyd! You could make videos about practically anything and it would be interesting. Even though I don't have the vehicles you have, I still learn quite a lot and your content is engaging and interesting. (a lot of the content you post generally applies to practically anything automotive). Cheers from across the pond brother.
Thank you Troy, nice of you to say. I do try to make my videos accessible to all abilities and also relevant to anyone maintaining their own car. As you say, there's always something relevant for anyone to learn. In the same way, I've learned much of what I know from other expert Engineers. I've got a head full of 40 years worth to try and get out into videos - hope I can get plenty more out before I pop my cloggs, lol.
PPS? What does that mean? Yeah, the black one was poor, but I can defo feel a difference with the new blue one. The engine is smoother, quieter and feels more responsive to small throttle inputs. maybe the old rubber hose was stretching under boost? Or maybe it's that it's smoother inside and that nice big radius into the throttle body.
HI CC. I recently bought this hose from Aliexpress, after I fitted it I found I couldn't put the cover back on as the hose sits too high at the throttle body end. I will have to trim that end a little to reduce how proud it sits to allow the cover to put back on, I've place the old hose back on but compared the two beforehand and its definitely sits higher until I can find my craft knife. PS keep up the good work. JB
I've got a 2009 1.9 tid. Just ordered a full do88 kit because it's all I can get for diesel unfortunately. Will do nice with my intercooler, cold air intake kit and straight through exhaust lol
Another product at a fair price. Thank you. I'll get this one too. Also, I forgot to install the coolant T when I did flush "my" coolant. 😆 EDIT: what about the vacuum hoses? EDIT2: I remembered that you did a video about an "enlarged" aluminium intercooler. Is it still available or can you do something similar as you do with these hoses?
Glad to help. Yeah, we were keen to keep the price reasonable. My 2.0T feels smoother with it too. I hadn't expected that. Yes, I'll be doing vacuum hoses soon, waiting on some bits. When the weather warms up and I can get back to regular visits with my Mum (she's had her cateracts done recently so been visiting loads as she can't drive yet) I'll be doing the intercooler. My OE one is bending at the bottom, just hope it hangs on long enough.
I had a new clutch fitted in March, just after making this ua-cam.com/users/shortsj38p4oVraUk?feature=share. If your clutch has started to slip, have it changed ASAP. I had to delay getting my MoT because I didn't want to risk having the car stuck on the garage ramp, or unable to get on.
ATM the top rad hose is available only via this link www.buymeacoffee.com/CycloneCyd/e/52994 which comes to me rather than direct to the factory. The Ali page for the air hose is something of a 'trial'. We'll see how it goes and which method works best.
That's great to hear and thank you. Make sure to go to the listing via the link in the description when you're ready to buy. It's a tracking link, good for 6 hours, that makes sure I get my 'cut' from the factory. 👍 Thanks
Hi Syd. I bought one of these and it turned up this morning, so I've just been out and fitted it. One thing I've noticed is that my engine cover won't go back on properly with this fitted; it won't seat into the rubber bungs at the front and the curved cut-out on the right of the cover is off centre. Other than that, it went on very easily and ties in nicely with the new vacuum hoses I've been fitting.
You could cut 10mm off the throttle body end, BUT you are better off leaving the engine cover in your garage to promote extra airflow over the engine ECU. They are prone to dying with engine heat.
Thanks! 👍 The big tuners (you know, D & M)don't sell this hose seperately, only as part of a [expensive] kit. I hear people want them to cut down for making modified intakes with bigger ICs, as well as the stock item deteriorating.
@@CycloneCyd .....serves as a reminder to come back to it...an example of "visual factory"? At first I thought maybe Saab had given you a "bonus bolt".
👉 Saab 9-3 One-Piece top radiator silicone hose: ua-cam.com/video/Rkdbdg4ilRk/v-deo.html
were can I buy the SAAB 9-3 Throttle hose replacement? And how do I ask for it?
If its squshing like this you could just trim it, make it shorter and the angle should be fine. That bad silicone is jist to long.

Yeah, not so many people make hoses for the diesel. On the positive side D088 hoses are top notch.

do they have a replacement hose for a 2.8 V6 gas engine
never mind different motor
does this fit the automatic transmission as well?
the hose of the manual model is shorter
doesnt matter should be the same size hose if its automatic or not
When will that thing need a new clutch? Mine is starting to slip at high power, I suspect it has only a few months left!

Thank you for posting that interesting informative video. May I ask why you have that bolt cable tied onto the (air con?) hose?
For safe keeping. Simple as. Also it serves to remind me I wasn't able to put it back in when I changed the ac clutch and I need to come back to it.

Great bit of kit that is, iv not even got a Saab but I’d buy one 👍
Someone with a Vx Z20NET has bought one. It is a nice quality hose. I'm pleased with it.
Great video helpful as always Cheers 👍👍
Thank you too.
Thanks again Cyd! Ordered this in white as well!! Thank you so much
